DO CATS DREAM?

When the grand girl bean comes to visit, we love to go to
Riverfront Park in the village,
as there are many fun things to do there.

Once we went ice skating. She had to help me though, because I only had enough green papers for one pair of skates when I really could have used two pair!
Another time we went on the water slide. I didn't really mind it (though many cats would), cause I really like water. Just wish I'd had my goggles on.
The jungle gym is one of my favorites. You know how we cats love to climb and crawl on just about anything and everything.
After being so busy and active at the park, it's a good idea to rest and have a little refreshment. I don't think she can see me here, but in just a minute now, I'm going to get a good taste of her ice cream.
Do cats dream? I think they do. I had really wonderful dreams about going to the park with the grand girl bean. Unfortunately, they made me stay home, but I can dream now can't I?

THE END OF DAYS

9 PM, the Zoolatry home is settling down for the night. It's getting dark. Dinner is over, the dishes are done. Great Grandma is tucked into bed. Maggy has most likely found a open window to curl up in, taking in the cool night air. Dad has stretched out on the sofa for some TV time. The Zoolatry Human is curled up in the big-chair, slurping Pepsi and eating potato chips. Me? I squeeze under the coffee table, right there between the two lounging humans. They still have on their socks and shoes... not for long if I have anything to say about it. It's time for "the end of days", my daily game, played each evening... what's that you ask... take a look below...it's the Shoe-Sox-Toe-Bitey game, and I always win... cause sooner or later both humans take 'em off and then... they're mine, all mine!

P.S. the Zoolatry Human is somewhat "upset" as she listed the words for
the 65 players, with a link to each of their blogs. And what happened?
After typing 65 words with 65 links, Google gave them all
just one link... one link! So, it didn't work out like it was supposed to.
Bummer...

TORTIE TUESDAY

It's not very often that I get a picture of Maggy, let alone a "good" picture... so I was super surprised when she seemed to "pose" for me this past weekend. I love this picture of her, not only does it show how pretty she is, but it shows some of her tortie-tones, the orange-gold furs on her paws and a touch on her chin. That, by the way is her chocolate-caramel-vanilla chin! She has that orange-gold behind her ears also. And see the little white spot on her forehead...
that's her shining star! PS, don't forget the 2009 Wordy Wednesday Challenge, tomorrow, March 25

I AM HIDING

I don't think anyone can see me up here... I'm on top of the armoire in Dad's office. That's their daughter-bean on the left, about six years ago, she was all sunburnt and dusty and dirty cause she was a Peace Corps volunteer in a village in Zimbabwe at the time. That's their grand-daughter-bean with my Dad on the right when she was just a tiny baby, she's in third grade now. That's me in the middle, but then you can't see me cause I am hiding. PS don't forget the Wordy Wednesday Challenge this week, March 25 ~

I OK (pun intended)

CATURDAY

I am 5 years old (is that 45 in human years?)...
The Zoolatry Human is 65 years old (OMC, that's OLD)
though I told her that probably means she would be just
over 9 years old if she was a cat like me.
But, the Zoolatry Human was very happy to notice
in this picture (and is it an un-re-touched picture)
that I have far more grey hairs than she has.

O F L C T

O F L C T

The Zoolatry Human is going to get her eyes fixed up tomorrow. Well, at least one eye will get fixed. Then she goes next week so they fixes her other eye. Then she goes again two more times. The first two times they work on her retinal tears (no, not the crying tears, the torn tears). Then the next two times she says they will take away her cat-racks. Now that part has me a little worried cause I don't want any part of us cats taken away. But she says she'll be thankful when it's all over with, maybe she'll be able to make even better Zoolatry pictures for the kittehs and the peoples. Things won't be so fuzzywuzzy all the time. And just one more thing: she's worn spectaculars ever since she was in kittygarten, so that's like maybe 50 years! Maybe more! She wants to know why the eye doctors haven't changed the chart in all these years: it's still O F L C T and she memorized it a long time ago. Hey Mom, what's memorizing...?

WORDY WEDNESDAY

Honest, it was not me!
I really really did not do it!
See me here, so sweet, am I not the picture of innocence?
Whatever makes you think I could be guilty?
Look into my baby blues, am I not your best girl?
I cannot tell a lie,
Maggy did it!

THE TALKING HOUSE

DOES YOUR HOUSE TALK TO YOU?
OURS DOES!
An open DOOR beckons, saying, "sneak outside, it's a wide and
wonderful world out here..."
A kitchen DRAWER, not closed, calls out, "look, this is the drawer
with your cat treats and cat toys... enjoy..."

The linen CLOSET, left ajar, taunts Maggy, saying, "come in and rest, it is cozy and comfy, and quiet and warm in here... join us..."

The old Hoosier CABINET, left unlatched, says to Zoey,
"there are books and
games and treasures inside, play... or nap..."
YES, OUR HOUSE TALKS TO US,
DOES YOURS?
PS Happy Wearin' O' The Green To You
