THANKFUL THURSDAY is our CHRISTMAS in JULY
Nixon, along with Fatty, Herbie and Ricky all live over at Purs 'n Snorts and they had the fun idea to have Christmas In July. Because Christmas is our mostest favoritest holiday, we decided to join in, and Angel and Kirby were our partners.
First I have to 'splain that the ZH's camera battery went out during our gift opening, so we didn't get too many pictures. But we want to send big purrs & hugs of thank you to Angel and Kirby and their mommy for such a wonderful package of good things ~ and not just for us, but lots for the ZH, too! Here I am, looking at the really purrty hand-made greeting card, but I needs help to read it.
My ZH really, really loves her "himmie" coffee mug (we brokes our other one) and we do believe cat-hugging is a good thing. And look at us: we've been embroidered and framed, purrfectly.
There were toys, and treats (some new ones we'd never had before!) and the cool Kong. It was a fun fun package ~ and Maggy and I only fought over the toys for a few minutes, then we shared 'em.Thank you, Angel and Kirby.

TUESDAY TOESIES
In the evening, when all the other humans have gone to bed, the Zoolatry Human is still up. She takes her shoes off, stretches out on the sofa, and watches TV. Sometimes I watch TV with her, it depends on the show, I am very finicky. Mostly I like to lay on her shoes. It doesn't matter whether it's her sandals, or her sneakers -- but I admit to liking her silver slippers the best.
When she's not paying attention I quietly slip a paw into one silver slipper...
Then in a New York minute - they're mine, a purrfect fit!Lovin' my silver slippers.
Here's a close-up view! See the reason I like the silver slippersthe most is because they go so well with my silver toof ring.
Some wear earrings and some wear nose rings and I've been
told some put them on their tummy buttons, and many other
strange places - but who else has a toof ring?
Time to meet up with Ginger Jasper
and go dancin'.

EASY LIKE SUNDAY
Last Sunday, Maggy showed you how she likes to jump-start her Easy Sunday ~ that cup of green tea, and the crab meat pastry puff with a sprig of nip! No, no, no! Being of the younger generation (I am half her age!) ~ my awareness of good nutrition is much more advanced. I believe we must follow a healthy diet. Therefore, I recommend cereals, fresh juice (tuna juice is totally awesome), and perhaps a bit of shrimp on the side. I market several brands now...
WheatZies, yes, the breakfast of champions ~ we're all champs, aren't we kittehs? Zoeyos, give you all your daily vitamin needs. And Zoats help lower catlesterol. Serve with chocolate milk, of course.
My best selling cereal (and personal favorite) ~ Maggy SMACKS. Nothing beats a really good Maggy Smacking session (add some hissing for extra flavor). Get this: there are fevver toys inside the box! Cool, mmm.

FASHION & FRIENDS FRIDAY
My Summer Clearance Sale was quite successful, especially considering retail sales are in a real downturn at this time. But the success of the sale shows the value of good and loyal customers, like YOU ~ and proves that we kittehs are wise shoppers. I am sorry some of you did not find just what you were looking for. Most of my inventory is one-of-a-kind, so the sales were "first come, first served". In some cases though, Maggy (an accomplished sales assistant) was able to guide the buyer to a different purchase. And some of you were very enterprising, finding choices in the back stock room that we hadn't yet put out on display (the curious cats among you).
Several of you found it necessary to use the litter room while here at my store, and I thank you each for leaving it in pristine condition. (cats are so clean) A few of you did take more than your fair share of give-away treats from the Temptations jar by the cash register, but I am sworn to secrecy and will not divulge names. (of fat cats)
A few of you kindly allowed us to take a quick "model shot" of you in your new hat... some of you snuck out the door before we could do so! And way at the bottom here, are photos of some of our former customers showing off their favorite toppers, all purchased at Zoey's Millinery Mercatile. So remember friends, when you want to be a "Top Cat"... shop at Zoey's.
DIAMOND stopped by early and not only found a straw hat, but a scarf to go with! CHEYENNE MILLIE found just the right summer chapeau! SHADOW needed a rain hat since it's been raining cats-n-dogs up that way, and found yellow rubber boots to match! CHEY wanted something in pink, but Maggy encouraged her to choose a blue floral to complement her lovely eyes! CORY wanted "my daisy hat" (not for sale) and I said "no", so she settled on pink straw with daisy embellishments. GINGER JASPER also expressed interest in my straw hat (I should have bought more inventory on that one) but we felt a green top hat was ideal for his eyes and his furs! THUNDER came by, he's been so busy caring for his brother Phantom, and he choose the proper hat for his caregiving duties! And KHYRA, well, of course Khyra would order a personalized cap, I'm glad we were able to get that one together! BABY PATCHES found the purrfect hat to complement her furs (albeit a slightly used one, worn in earlier days by both Chey and Maggy) and looks quite wonderful in this choice. So kittehs one & all, thanks for shopping with us.

CUSTOMER DIS-SATISFACTION
Unfortunately, a few of our customers (who ordered by phone or email) were less than satisfied with what they received from us. In all cases we strive to keep the customer happy, and so have made (or are in the process of making) arrangements to re-ship orders to each of them. WILLIE'S custom Force cap is obviously way, way too big! (Sorry, Willie) But we immediately shipped his size, and told him to keep the original hat and let one of his beans wear it!
MR HENDRIX wanted to order one more summer hat, and a couple for the coming winter months. He was disappointed to open his package and see the hats were quite obviously meant for someone else in the house, who seems to be receiving all the gifts and attention recently! We will certainly be shipping replacement head gear to Mr. H.
RUDY and PARKER each ordered personalized hats, but called Customer Service to explain they had received the "wrong ones", wrong colors and wrong names. We tactfully suggested they put each hat on a different head and the problem might be easily solved...
BARNEY is the new "kit" on the block at House of Cats. He wanted to look like one of the "big kids" and ordered a cap. Some "idiot" in our stock room (ZH?) sent it out in pink rather than blue. Barney is guaranteed to get a blue hat soon!

EASY LIKE SUNDAY
As I have the honor of being the more mature, thus wiser, kitteh in the Zoolatry home, I'd like to offer my advice on the best way to start your Easy Sunday. 1. Find a comfy spot to recline and relax. I've chosen near the sofa, at the feet of the ZH.
2. Enjoy a cup of hot tea. My choice is green tea with just a hint of mango. The aroma is delightful.
3. Then drool over a warm puff pastry filled with crab meat and topped with a sprig of nip (and make sure Zoey keeps her grubby paws away from it).
4. Grab the morning paper. I enjoy the editorials, but I never forget to check out Garfield, and of course, follow up on Marmaduke's adventures.
Happy Sunday my friends ~ Purrs from Maggy.

THANKFUL THURSDAY
I am thankful the Zoolatry Human and I had a fun vacation week with the grand girl bean. Yesterday I showed you pictures from my trip to the zoo, and today I am sharing pictures of some of the other fun things we did together last week.
Zoey! I've told you several times, we can't go anywhere until it stops raining! Well, the only reason you don't think it's raining is cause you're using my dress as your rainbrella. And besides, your paw is on my foot - ouch!
Zoey here: up at KSC we got into an old space capsule, but I forget the name of it. It's pretty small. There's my launch manual -- but where's my litter box? There were some awesome rides to go on that make you feel like you're "up in space". I am embarrassed to report they had to STOP the ride so the ZH could get off! But the grand girl bean stayed on and loved it. Then on the way home, the ZH had to pull her car over and she (upchucked) on the side of the road. A policeman came to see if she was OK. The grand girl bean and I were mortified. What might usually be down is now up.
I am floating in air and my fur is all funny.
And just look at the tails on Maggy and the lady astronaut!
I'm in the back so I am supposed to steer the kayak, but
sometimes I didn't do too good. I got us into the weeds.
The little girl tried to dig in her oar and get us outta there, and
when she pulled her oar out real quick it dumped seaweed on top
of her head. I laughed and laughed, but she didn't.
One of our other trips was to the Enchanted Forest. It's very nice in there, but it was also very hot and very humid and it was a long, long walk to get out. The grand girl bean wasn't too happy at first: too many spider webs, too many bugs, she kept saying. Get me outta here Gramma, she said. What's enchanting about this place??? But when we were home later, she said, Gramma I think I over reacted, that was a cool place. I mean it was hot, but it was still cool, you know!

TUESDAY TAILS
Look at all the tails! Betcha can't tell which tails are Maggys and which tails are mine! We like our big floofy tails. In the middle is my pom-poof: once upon a time, the groomer cut my tail like a poodle-pom-poof. The ZH didn't like it at all and she was very upset until it grew back out. She says our big floofers do a very good job of dusting the floors and table tops. The pom-poof just left streaks in the dust, so she had more work to do. That wasn't good cause she's lazy sometimes.Last week I noticed that the grand girl bean who had come to visit had quite a floofy tail, too! Except hers is very curly. I think it's pretty with all the curls (I bet Daisy would like it!). Maybe the groomer can curl my tail next time. The ZH would probably complain again though, she'd say that leaves "swirls" in the dust!
