Mommy Carlacita waits and watches at the end of the porch, before
calling her kitties to dinner. Even after she thinks the coast is clear, she
looks over her shoulder ... there at the edge of the woods,
that's who she's keeping a watchful eye on. (Me, too...)
And he usually comes to clean-up any scraps left behind ... in spite
of my banging on windows, shouting, slamming doors or shaking a broom
at him. Sigh. Guess he needs a little food, too.

Our mom likes raccoons, but yes, we've heard they can be vicious. Maybe this one is trying to feed it's raccoon family.
Those raccoons are fearless sort of guys. They'll come right up without a care in the world. A friend of ours left her back door open a little and one walked right in her kitchen.

Do be very careful of that raccoon. Perhaps take up any leftovers from the porch before he can get to them? Mom had read that Raccoons that are out in the day and are bold may have rabies. Normally they are nocturnal.
He sounds like he's pretty brave. We hope he doesn't cause any trouble.

Raccoons can be REALLY mean at times. Be Careful.
We suppose there is a family waiting for food and raccoon needs to try and steal some.

Raccoons are not afraid of humans. Large predators won't even mess with an adult raccoon.
If you an do so safely, remove the food promptly after your cats eat.
If you feed them, he will come. Ornery bandit.. Hope momma kitty keeps her babies away from him!
She is a very protective Mama kitty. Good for her.
Poor Mama C. We wish she could relax. How about a can of compressed air to "shoosh" at Mr. Coon?

We see dead coons on our streets but we have never seen one in our yard. We hear they can be nasty. Be careful out there, Carlacita - you are a good mom.

We've seen a possum in our back yard and their all scary to us!
Hmmmm, we don't know. Those raccoons are tricky. They look cute but can be awful mean. Just be extra careful.
