This is MY office. The Zoolatry Dad seems to think it is his office. He is wrong. See the sign on the door. See ME in MY executive chair. See ME on MY calendar. See ME on the coasters by MY mouse. See ME getting MY fevver out of MY desk drawer. See ME in the picture frame. See ME on MY computer monitor. See ME performing one of MY most important tasks: emptying the shredder. As I said, this is MY office.March 31, 2008

EASY, LIKE SUNDAY
The Zoolatry Human calls these "toss pillows". Is that because she tosses them at me? They are everywhere in the house, on all the beds and chairs and sofas. All tossed about. I think they make good places for hiding and they keep my semi-nekked body warm. Oooops: not all of me is hidden! Toss more please!March 29, 2008

DEDICATED TO -- THE CAT REALM

Karl, Anastasia (who has gone over the Rainbow Bridge), the newcomers to The Cat Realm family and especially the Maid and the Butler -- we thank them one and all, and dedicate todays post to them. They have shared their creative talents and fun photos with us for a long time, and have been a source of inspiration for Zoolatry. Back in July of 2007, the man in the house had a blog and asked us to do a picture of Zoey to enter in The Cat Realm Pink Wig "Idya" contest. That picture is below. We entered, we had fun, and as they say, the rest is history. We began our own blog and over time, we have often visited The Cat Realm. They challenge our skills at photoshopping and we continue to learn. They share good times and great ideas (and so much more) and we're glad we know them all. Again, we thank them all.

ORLANDO SENTINEL, "ANIMAL CRAZY" BLOG
One of my favorites blogs is "Animal Crazy" hosted by the Orlando Sentinel. This photo, by Sentinel staff photographer Red Huber, was posted on Animal Crazy on March 27. The space shuttle Endeavour landed last night at the Kennedy Space Center. Mr. Huber was there to photograph the landing, and captured this magnificent and rare animal on the west side of the shuttle runway. KSC is also the home of the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and is known for an abundance of animal, bird and marine life.THURSDAY THIRTEEN
We started ZOOLATRY in July 2007, and have been busy ever since. Zoolatry is defined as "an excessive attention to animals", and in retrospect, seems most appropriate. The Zoolatry Human is forever changing her banners and colors (see above) and keeping Maggy and Zoey quite busy with all the photo files. We've met and enjoyed so many wonderful friends (animal and human) during this time. It is great fun and we're glad to be part of it all. Here are Thirteen Things About Zoolatry:1. Animals: doggies, birds, bunnies and goats, we've done 36 pictures.
2. Birthdays: we've celebrated birthdays with 34 kitty pictures.
3. Christmas: for Christmas we did 61 kitty pictures.
4. Sports: the National Feline League had 55 kitties pictured.
5. Halloween: our kitties turned into ghosts 'n goblins 49 times.
6. Holidays: Easter, New Years & Valentines, 21 holiday pictures.
7. Political: considering this is an election year, we've only done 6 pictures.
8. Elvis Presley: it began with our Salute to Elvis, 23 rockin' kitty pictures.
9. Very Special Posts: Banners & Tags & Special Posts were done 89 times.
10. NASA: lots of kitties became space cadets on the shuttles, 27 launches.
11. Maggy & Zoey: being that this is "our" blog, we have 475 pictures!
12. Wonderful Cats World: our kitty friends from all over the world have had their pictures done, for our blog sometimes, many times only for their own blog, 737 times!
13. That's a grand total of 1,212 pictures since we started! The Zoolatry Zoo is a very busy place -- and a fun place to be.

A ZOOLATRY ANNIVERSARY

Five years ago, Great Grandma came from the cold and snowy north to the sunshine and palm trees of Florida. She came to live with us. We didn't live with the Zoolatry Humans at that time. A cute little beagle named Chessie lived here. Then Chessie took a run and a jump (she loved to run) over the Rainbow Bridge and we got adopted. Just like Great Grandma got adopted. It's fun living with GG and she is the oldest person (or cat) we know cause she is almost 95! In her bedroom there are lots of tissues and I have a paper fetish so I like to steal them. In her closet she has some funny shoes she's supposed to wear, but the ZH said, "let's have fun... let's have you wear Nike's!". So, now she's our Nike Nana. And she has lots and lots of toys, too. Maggy and I each have a walker to ride on. That's kind of strange now that you think of it -- to ride a walker! And when we shower we can sit on a bench! Sometimes a little man-cat comes to visit and GG really has fun with him. He used to be on all-fours just like us, now he walks and gets into many things so everyone says "watch the baby" all the time! Sometimes we all go out places with GG, and we went to see a real Florida panther... but I told GG and the little girl-cat that I would protect them. I also told GG not to be scared of the gator daughter-bean has, after all, it's only a little one. The big ones are usually in the streets and driveways. Great Grandma is a good, sweet and kind lady. Sometimes we can nap on her bed, which has warming things on it and feels good. It's great to live with Great Grandma.

THREE KISSES
A significant holiday on the Russian Orthodox church calendar is Easter. The Easter holiday is celebrated with the exchange of eggs, and three kisses. In 1884, Czar Alexander III commissioned Peter Carl Faberge to create a special egg for his wife, Czarina Maria. The egg was to hold a secret surprise. As this egg gave so much pleasure to Maria, they were commissioned by the royal families for many years to come. Of historical note: these renowned and treasured eggs were not created by Faberge himself, but rather by the master goldsmiths and jewelers in his House of Faberge.Easter, 1981 -- a golden egg and three kisses for my golden child. Now a grown and married woman, she is still so very precious to me, and is a best friend. This picture was one of the first photoshop pieces we did, and it was originally posted on another blog.

WHISKERS WEDNESDAY
They matched my pretty, silky, long and lovely fur.
The fur is gone.
And the whiskers on one side are gone, too!
The Zoolatry Human says I'll be "me" in about three months.
