SATURDAY STUFF ~ on SUNDAY

Just sitting there, minding my own, taking in a distance view out the window ('cause she's got those windows open again with that c-c-cold air comin' in, meowz).  And I hear her say, "see that purple box by your toes, get to work little girl!"
But it's my afternoon easy time, almost nap time, work?  Then she says (which translates to complains) that the car door closed on her left paw last week and it's still swollen and sore, and this morning she did hurties to her right paw and now it is all red-and-achey, too.  So it is incumbent upon me (what is incumbent?) to do all our ChrissyMouse Cards ... because, because MONDAY is Christmas Card Day and they have to go to the man in blue shorts so he can take them to all the friends 'n' furriends  we care about, except up in Canada, where they'll wait around until Valentine's Day for delivery maybe.

I look down.  OMC.  There's my fave pink pen.
How many cards are in those boxes?
Does she really seriously think I'll get this done in time?
After all, I'm only just out of kittengarten,
I can't write ... I only print ... that takes longer ...

One way or t'other, that pen is going to the floor.
As soon as she leaves the room ...
I love rolling it around,
rolling it here and there,
rolling it everywhere ...

writing cards with it,
well, that's a whole different matter.

We'll see about that.

  2. Oh dear, Miss June, we hope the mom's hand is healing soon. We don't do cards much anymore except for the stuff mom makes for all the grandkids these days. Dad says they don't have a big circle of friends anyway, and the few they did have seem to have dropped off the face of the earth, whatever that means. You know, that darn pen was just asking to be knocked off and batted around as far as I'm concerned. Last week, while dad was mutt-sitting, he dropped a pair of glass baking dishes and tried to catch them like an idiot. He got a good slice in one of his fingers and it's just now finally sealed up nicely. His hands get real dry in the winter and mom's always scolding him like a child (as she has to about EVERYTHING) and the dishes were quite slick.

  5. Oh noes, June!
My stack of cards need attention too...it's way late for us, but that postal strike in Canada sorta put a damper on our excitement as a good chunk of our addressees are in The Great White North.
    Maybe later today...

  12. Our Christmas card will be late, and not because of the strike just because we are a week behind in life these days. We hope the mail strike ends soon. Lee and Phod

  16. We think you're Mommy is going to have to wait until she can write and stuff and seal again. Our Mom just now got our card sent off to the printers. *sigh* She blames it on her 'puter being in the shop. XOX Xena and my pack

  22. We sure hope those ouchie hands/paws are getting better by now. I just finished my ecard...now to get it sent to all those who are slated t get one...and no snail card to be done by petcretary this year, unless they don't have a 'puter...
We've been trying out or arm and back muscles to shovel all the snow we've been having here. 4 inches on top of ice from Wed-Thursday. The roads were awful. Rain on Sunday and Monday..to melt it all in time for the next dump! Sheesh!
