It's purrably been made clear here, more than once,
that mine Mommy is what one calls a "news junkie".
Sometimes she reads it out loud to me, meow!
That's enough to make me jump off the day bed and run toward the
nearest scratching post!
Yet, once in awhile, we do read some light-hearted fun news and
recently the Cambridge Dictionary announced over 6,000 new words
for this year! It's sure going to take me a long time to learn all of those!
Our purrsonal favorite, we both agreed on this, is
"delulu".
It shouldn't be too hard to figure out it's meaning.
We suspect it can apply to so many things ... people (lots of them), especially
a whole bunch of them that currently hold office in government, we don't
need to name them ...
OK, OK, June, it's Happy Tuesday, you're going way off with this post,
get back on point, kitty girl or I'll have to paw in ...
Well, I just wanted to introduce my word. I'm reaching out to the
Cambridge peoples and suggesting this word, my new word, be added,
"relaxification".
I'm visually relaxifying right here on my day bed.
This is how one practices relaxification.
It is the best way to avoid all the daily delulu in our world.
Our mom is not interested in the news much at all. She says they always look for negative stories and she thinks they need to focus more on happy things to change the world back to a happier place. We haven't heard about the new words but we do know they find new ones every year.
ReplyDeletewe love relaxification... we hope our mama can do some of that too :o)
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to practice relaxification, but I really like delulu!
ReplyDeleteI like both words and we definitely think that relaxification should be a word that we use every single day!
ReplyDeleteI can go with both new words ... New words are nothing new, they've been happening for a long time ...
ReplyDeleteWe all love relaxification here! My 6 are experts at it haha! :-D
ReplyDeleteWe think we will be spending the day in a state of pure relaxification!

Relaxification sounds pawsome to us.
ReplyDeleteJune you look adorable on the bed with your dotty pillow

I managed to work "delulu," "lewk," and "broligarchy" into a poem that should go live on Friday...not boasting or anything, though it's part of the fun at another lovely blog link-up in which some people's poems should be good.

Hello June,
ReplyDeleteYou look very relaxed. The news is awful, I am trying to avoid anything political. Love the cute photo!
Take care, have a great day!
That's a lot of new words to be added. I like the word you are suggesting and think I do a lot of relaxifying too.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me wonder how many more words we need, but some of the new ones are fun. Practicing relaxification is fun.
ReplyDeleteKitties should have their own dictionaries!
ReplyDeleteI like both words. XO
ReplyDeleteCount me in on the relaxification thing too sweet June!
ReplyDeleteWith so many people in power who are delulu, we could all use from relaxification.
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Hmm, I wonder which is more relaxing, relaxification or chillaxing ..."
ReplyDeleteThank you for making me wiser/
ReplyDeleteRelaxifying sounds wonderful! We all need to start practicing more relaxifiacation...else we all just might go delulu!
ReplyDeleteWe love the relaxification (almost) word. Mom had to look up delulu cause she'd never heard it before. She lives a sheltered life without the news. XOXOX Chia
ReplyDeleteWe like the sound of relaxification!!! Mom heard a story on the news about all those new crazy words, and her favorite was delulu - Dad thinks SHE is delulu because she uses it on him all the time:). She also likes another one - skibiddi. A word with no meaning - just use it:)

Relaxification is going to be my new quest! From one news junky to another, I think there is too much delulu going on these days. Which begs the question...what the dog is wrong with those people?
