I was having some happy-cat-box play.
See ... isn't this the kinda sorta thing we kitties love to do?
When I heard mine Mommy say ... "enjoy it while you can, Juney girl ... listen to this!

Cardboard boxes power the consumer economy.
They not only bring joy in the form of online shopping purchases,
they are literally how retailers move goods.
When cardboard box production slows,
it could be a sign that people are expected to buy less in coming months.
And cardboard box production is down.

Oh no, what's a kitty to do?
that means no boxing days? oh no... thats a cat-tastrophe...
ReplyDeleteIt seems like it's been forever since any of Mom's packages came in boxes. Everything is padded bags now.
ReplyDeleteThat is indeed bad news, all the way around!
ReplyDeleteWell now, that sure isn't good news sweet June.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you should preserve that box for as long as you can, June.
ReplyDeleteThis is horrible news to hear, Juney!
ReplyDeleteJune we are morning people just like you and Mom.
ReplyDeleteI love the peace and quiet ...our bird feeders are right outside the dining room window so we have breakfast with them
Now that I think about it I don't recall the last time we received any thing in a cardboard box.
You must be sure to take care of the boxes you have
Hugs cecilia
Am sure it's a pendulum effect; down then up then down, and up again.
ReplyDeleteAt least we can hope.
oh no, not boxes, who knew it could say how the economy is

Oh dear, not good at all. My cats love boxes. :-D
ReplyDeleteOh no! Maybe your Mommy will let you keep that lovely box, June. Even Amazon is sending things in big cardboard envelope type things.
ReplyDeleteYou always capture the most interesting angles of Miss June. Each one is so unique and enjoyable to behold. I'm sorry that cardboard boxes have become a negative economic portent. Hopefully, the future brings better days ahead.
ReplyDeleteTake heart Juney - quite a few if us older catladies have garages or attics or basements with extra boxes stashed away for "just in case" !
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope you can keep this one. XO
ReplyDeleteBetter hang onto the boxes you've already got!
ReplyDeleteLess boxes for Jne?? The horror!
ReplyDeleteWe got a Chewy box today. We will have to paw at Mom to get ordering more stuff for us so we can stock up on our bo supply.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Misty and Timber
Chaplin: "What?!"
ReplyDeleteOona: "This is an emergency!"
Charlee: "We have to start stockpiling boxes now! Battle stations, everyone!"
Protect that box, June! It may be the last box you see. Take care, have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteYou left me a message asking for my email address but I don't want to put it here in a public comment. Please let me know your email address so I can stay on your list.

Uh-oh...that doesn't bode well, does it, June?
ReplyDeleteHow much of it is we need fewer boxes because recyclable plastic bags are being used more? But indeed, it might be a sign. I hope you continue to get boxes as you need them.
