Yes, we still love football.
Yes, we still love our Ravens.
We are NOT fair weather fans.
We support our team, rain or shine, on and off the field,

bobbleheads or not, win or lose.
Pre-season we were 3-0.
So far for the real season we are 1-5 and last place in our division.
This after two years of playing well, playing great and
almost "getting there" ... you know where ...
and this could have been, might have been ... THE YEAR!
Not now, though ... sometimes it just doesn't work out the way
you want it to, but even when it doesn't,
you still cheer your team on ...
(just like in politics ...
we're still cheering for Our Team,
the Good Guys, supporting democracy,
fairness and justice for all.)

ReplyDeleteIt's good you're so passionate about the Ravens, Ann & June. Here, we couldn't care less about sports, though we're surrounded by Philadelphia phanatics of all sizes, shapes and ages. Again, we couldn't care less. Once upon a time, however, many many moons ago, long before the interwebz and all the technology out there, my dad remembers sitting outside on the picnic table, listening to Red Sox games on his little AM-only trasistor radio. All I can say is, I'm amazed he remembers anything from that long ago.
