It's still dark outside, the days are getting longer. And cooler.
I'm under the table, looking up at mine Mommy while she sips on her coffee, her second cup.
I've already finished my breakfast and had some fresh water.
Now I just wait for her to finish ~ it's a quiet time for us.

She reads a little news on her phone, I think she thinks about the day ahead, sometimes she talks, er, meows to me.
She says she thinks most people probably have a morning routine.
I know I do, and the next part of my routine will be when she gets up from the table ~
when our quiet time is over, the city lights will begin to turn off, the sun will begin to rise up over the harbor,
I will hear the birds begin to squawk as they fly off the church domes where they have slept during the night ~
I'll see those things she calls "cars" begin to park on that rooftop garage
so all those people can go to work in the big tall buildings around us ~
once again, the world wakes up and starts all over.
Mine Mommy gets up from the table to wash by breakfast bowl and her coffee cup, and me?
Well, it is time to get out from under the table, curl up in my polka dot chair and have that morning nap.
That is our morning routine.
HAPPY DAY TO ALL OUR CANADIAN FRIENDS
as they celebrate THANKSGIVING
"we are thankful you are our friends"
we enjoy to have more time for breakfast... it has something from togetherness ;O)
ReplyDeleteCute photo! I like routine and my morning coffee while reading blogs. Take care, have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteMom feeds me my breakfast while her coffee is brewing and toast is in the toaster. Dishes get washed and then we are off on our morning walk but not today as we are having lots of wind and rain.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good early start to your day, June! Love that picture of you, awww.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a very nice morning routine, Junie. Add in my morning walkie in, and our routine is very similar.
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy
My morning routine sounds exactly the same as your Mommy's, June. Mine doesn't start as early though.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Thanksgiving wishes. Tigris and Styx
ReplyDeletejunie, i hadz to wake up my mum dis mornin, she wuzza late wif mine breakfast
ReplyDeleteAn excellent routine, June!
ReplyDeleteWe have our morning routine here too, June. I always make sure my parents have their breakfast after feeding me mine. Then there is a nap until lunch. BOL!
ReplyDeleteI love routines, especially the early am, before the sun comes up. ours has been a mess since Bob can't walk and fitting everything he needs gets in the way, but the one thing I do is that first cup of coffee, nothing stops that and I like to read emails and comments during that time
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the perfect morning routine, June. And then do you repeat at lunch and again at dinner? Great way to fill the day.

A good morning routine. We don't do Thanksgiving in Scotland. Hope you had a good one :-D
ReplyDeleteYou guys are up a lot earlier than we are!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice routine. XO
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have a routine you can count on sweet June!
ReplyDeleteFrom this Canadian Petcretary, to you we are glad you are our friends, too! Therefore Happy Thanksgiving! Because every new day is reason to be thankful for!
ReplyDeleteWe do have a morning routine here too...and it is a lot more relaxed than in the past when Pawppy was still working...and even more so now that *she* only goes to her work once in a while.
Love seeing you looking up at your mine Mommy♥ I so understand the need for routine. It keeps me grounded and not all befuddled. But flying by the seat of my pants occasionally works too.
ReplyDeleteI feel relaxed just reading about you and your Mommy's morning routine. It's sure calmer than around here! XOX Xena
ReplyDeleteThanks for the good wishes. For us it was just another day. Walter was going to cook something special but ran out of energy as happens so often due to his Addison's disease.
ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, I am not sure what our Dada's morning routine is here. I stop paying attention to what he's doing after he feeds us, and that's just about the first thing he does after he gets out of the shower every morning. At least I can't complain about the service ..."
ReplyDeleteCoffee and a nap...sounds like the pawfect way to start the day!
ReplyDeleteThat's an excellent routine. Mine is blast myself out of bed and get to work, not nearly as nice.
