You might notice something special about the "August Events badges" ~ Dougie Dog and Zoey were out trolling the pet blogging community ~ they tossed around a few cat treats, a bit o' bird seed and a tennis ball or two, even a pretty hair ribbon! Magic! Some friends popped over and readily agreed to "sponsor" some of the August events ~ how cool is that? Can you guess who they are? If you're not sure, you'll have to scroll to the very very bottom of our sidebar for their names!!! Happy Dog and Cat Days of Summer to All!
Feel free to grab any-or-all of these badges and use on your own blog or for you your own
personal social media. These badges, except for Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day, have been
designed by Zoolatry and you may use with, or without credit as we are complimented by those
who wish to use our artwork ~ thank you!
Badges will change from month to month, as events change. These are all PNG files, 500 px square.
If you need a different size, email me, we'll be glad to make changes for you.
NOTE: not all August events are shown here. Other events and badges may be available
through other pet bloggers, and will also be found on The Cat Blogosphere.
Events badges are shown in order of their event date.

Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day is to me one of the most important events of the year as I believe we must always honor and remember those who have filled our lives with unconditional love, whose time with us has been all too brief yet whose place in our heart lingers on. Below, Deb Barnes, the founder of this very special days tells about it in her own words ...
Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day is a special day dedicated to honoring the memories of those beloved pets in our lives we have loved and lost but never forgotten. Whether a pet with fur, fin, feathers, scales, or something else – one pet, or many – the day was created for pet guardians to honor the pet in any way that feels most comfortable to them, such as posting a picture, writing a poem, sharing a favorite memory, holding a candle light service, creating a video, writing a blog post or more.
Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day History:
Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day was founded in 2015 by Deborah Barnes, President of the Cat Writers’ Association and award-winning author and blogger at Zee & Zoey's Cat Chronicles in tribute to her Ragdoll cat, Mr. Jazz, who she had to say goodbye to on August 28, 2013. She shared the journey of letting him go in her critically acclaimed book, Purr Prints of the Heart – A Cat’s Tale of Life, Death, and Beyond and decided to create the day in his honor as a way for others across the world to share memories of their own pets they had loved and lost.
