DESCRIPTIVE WRITING, BY STUDENTS IN MS.S's CLASS, HALF WAY ROUND THE WORLD IN AUSTRALIA

MAGGY SAYS "THANK YOU... AND, GOOD WORK"

Some may remember Maggy's posting on her birthday, November 27.

Surprises come in packages... and when Maggy opened her gift package, she found wonderful surprises from a class of students, half way round the world -- in Australia.

As part of a descriptive writing assignment, the students responded to:
"when I unwrapped Maggy's birthday present I found..."

I found a big polished emerald which was found in Afghanistan, birthday cake crumbs and an enormous cat mansion -- also a hairdresser trimming Maggy's fur.
I found a ticket to Maggy's Movie Theatre to watch "It's My Birthday", the ruby from the museum (it was stolen), a map of the Queen's Castle (to steal the crown) and
an ancient shark tooth.
I found a golden ring from a mermaid, a trumpet from an orchestra, a trident from under the sea and the Mona Lisa from the Louvre.

Maggy sends her love and thanks to each of you,
and she sure hopes Ms. S gave you each an A+.

  1. And I suppose the kids are going to say that Zoey stole the ruby from the museum and put it in Maggy's secret box. Huh!

  2. What a lovely surprise. Those students certainly deserve an A+.
Mum sez if they ever go back to KSC, she'll let you know.

  4. Very imaginative! I bet if SS sees any of these in one of her packages she'll die of a heartache (and I'll be an orphan!)
