I guess it really wouldn't be the Christmas season, without a few

old favorites of my Maggy and my Zoey ... 

look for a few more tomorrow.

DECEMBER 28

Thank you again to all the wonderful friends and kitties and woofies

who were part of our December Advent Calendar and shared this special

month of holiday joy with us.  It would not have been as much fun without you!

And many thanks to all who shared holiday cards via email and snail mail 

and to those we were unable to post in our gallery above, 

but enjoyed nonetheless. 

We'll do our best to hang on to this spirit of caring and sharing 

throughout the year to come, it's the best gift we can give.

DECEMBER 26

The day after Christmas should be:

Lazy. Messy. Sweet. Littered. Sleepy. Happy. Thankful.

Cluttered with tissue paper, ribbons,

torn wrapping, boxes to recycle.  Kitties hiding under whatever they can hide under.

Maybe noisy children; or blissfully quiet with new toys (latter preferred).

Partners forgiving, hugging, loving.

The day after Christmas should be without shopping, please.

Recycling a box, put your troubles in it and send them on their way.

Too many toys, too many gifts?  Share, give away, so many others are in need.

The day after Christmas: time to look around your corner of the world, 

hear what it is saying to you, reflect.

My sweet Maggy chose to stay in sunny Florida 

when the Zoolatry family moved north last summer ~ 

she traded the East coast beaches for the Gulf coast.  

She still enjoys her waterfront breezes and her sun puddles 

but now with the company of many sis-furs and bro-furs in the loving

home of Peggy's Place, a former blogger 

known to many for her famed Peggy Blankies.

I will always be grateful to Peggy.

What a precious gift she gave to me by accepting Maggy

into her home and her heart, by

caring for her and loving her so fully.  

Below, Maggy celebrates a tropical Christmas with her new family in the

colors of the ocean and the glorious coastal sunsets.

 It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas at the Chronicle of Woos home.

CIARA: "honest, Mom ... I did not touch the presents, they just fell off 

the table all by themselves, fur real"

 LIGHTNING: "honest, Mom ... I only wanted to help, just a little bit of help,

I mean, with a name like mine, I should know a little about lights, right?"

PHANTOM: "honest, Mom ... I am the sweet one, sugar 'n' spice and all things nice. 

So, just one little cookie please ... just for me, please ... "

 Up on the rooftops, better be quick ~

"Lucy, Lucy ~ come quickly and see, 

Santa is here, with a bag full of purr-sents

for you and for me!"

Below in the courtyard, piled high with snow,

"Hannah, I've found Santa's sleigh, you really must see,

it too has lots of purr-sents for you and for me!"

Hannah and Lucy are such good and sweet little ladies,

we have no doubt Santa really is bringing that many purr-sents to them!

How much is that kitty in the window?

I do want him with me today.  

He does look so warm and so cozy,

on my lap I would love him to stay.

To curl up and cuddle so softly, a BHU kitty would be so fine.

I wish Santa would bring me a BHU kitty,

a BHU kitty that would be just mine!

Little Christmas Critters, as cute as can be,

wouldn't you love to have them all 'round your tree?

 Little Christmas Critters, filling baskets here and there,

baskets full of kits 'n' pups, by the door and by the chair.

All waiting on Santa's arrival, decked out in red and green,

Last weekend a few human bloggers had the fun of getting together for lunch, though a few were suddenly thwarted by snow and ice and unable to come!  Conversation was frequently interrupted by a clowder of rowdy cats in the booth behind us ~ obviously too much salmon and way too many niptini's were being consumed by this bunch!  Notice: they even brought their own flattie Christmas trees! Pictured Below: these same kitties, in all their holiday glamour (sans niptinis), and Not Pictured: Maggy and Zoey of Zoolatry, whose lazy ZH has never made them into flatties.

 The best way to decorate for the holidays is with lots of curlz and lots of swirlz, so

if Brighton and Disco, and Coco and Sammy are around ~ you've got it made!

 Christmas dreams, sweet dreams ~ Marley, Ayla and Iza 

will be up at dawn on Christmas morn, ready to see what Santa has brought!

 If Brulee and Truffle want Santa to fill their stockings with treats 'n' toys,

they'd best find another place to play hide 'n' seek ...

 Over at the Twinkletoe house, Oui Oui took over the tree decorating task 

while all the other kitties were busy wrapping gifts.  

Just like most humans, she got tangled up in the lights ...

Today, at the home of  Zoolatry we aren't yet celebrating Christmas.

Instead, we're celebrating a very special birthday ...

The ZH's littlest grand is 4 years old today!

LITTLE ISIS, the queen of Purrchance to Dream

would be on everyone's Christmas list.

She deserves special holiday treats cause her Daddy works so hard

each and every day to keep the Cat Blogosphere

We trust Little Isis doesn't mind sharing today's posting with a 

handsome black kitty we know.   

 A few days ago, when we posted the cats of Twinkletoe Tails, dear CARL was hiding in his Christmas package and hiding so well, that the ZH could not find him! 

And so she did not post his picture with his brofurs and sisfurs!

[actually, she had his photo in the wrong file folder, shame on her]

Today, he peeks out of the box to wish all his furriends

a Meowy Catmus!

DECEMBER 9

Our sweet friend, KATIE ISABELLA, went out to play in the snowes.

She built her dear brofur a snowkitty, and got a cold in her nooooose.

Now Katie's been snifflin' and sneezin';

brofur is ill and Mom Carole is pooped from all she must do!
