Still a bit cooler in Florida than one would like it to be ... here along the Canaveral National Seashore
yesterday only the avid fisherman and a few brave-the-chill families dotted the shoreline.
Yet, still as beautiful and untouched as I remembered it to be (and loved it) during my many years
of living here. Driving into the seashore, one gets as close a glimpse as possible right now
of the FALCON HEAVY ... Space X's huge rocket, nearly ready to launch from KSC's pad 39A.
Being a space-fan, and having seen many shuttle and rocket launches over the years I am, of course,
selfishly hoping it will launch before I head back home ...
P.S. even though the Federal Government was on shutdown yesterday, personal thanks to the
unknown Park Ranger who somehow forgot (?) to close the gates to the National Seashore
allowing us, along with many others to drive in and through the park and shore and enjoy a visit there!
How beautiful that shoreline is. We hope you get to see the launch while you're there. :)

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful - I would like to think that a few other gates got 'forgot' around all the parks! I am an immense fan of space exploration and anything related, so am mildly jelly green at you getting so close. Am off to read that link now! YAM xx
What a splendid set of views, and if that rocket takes off it will be even more dramatic.

We were in that area in December but never made it to a launch site. Looks cool!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. My hubby would love to see a rocket launch.
ReplyDeleteThe seashore is so beautiful and serene. We hope you get to see the rocket launch while you're in FL!
ReplyDeleteSo that's the space ship my kitty furr-iends built that will take us to find our ancestors on the Planet of Pussy Cats! I'm so glad that ranger was forgetful, so you got a chance to view it & see the marvel! Purrs!
ReplyDeleteHooray for the Park Ranger!!
ReplyDeleteThe beach looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow! Ghostwriter has always wanted to see a rocket go into space sometime in her life! You're so lucky to have seen a few!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having the most marvelous time!
ReplyDeleteIt has been great watching your journey.
