Over the holidays my daughter, son-in-law and grandboy traveled to Kolkata, India to spend time with family. They enjoyed a side trip north to the state of Darjeeling as their special vacation, about forty-miles from the border with China, near the Himalayan mountain range. Today, I am borrowing a few of their dramatic photos for Caturday Art ~ but rather than alter these lovely images, I am only choosing to give each what I hope are "dramatic" borders. Frames that will enhance the images as they are and draw the viewers eye into the photo. This first image is simply to identify the region.
Above and below: Peafowl, males are peacocks, females are peahens.
Above: unable to identify this pretty little bird. Below: red panda, common to the region.
What an amazing trip they had! The photos and colours are beautiful. Great choice with the frames too, but you have a very artistic eye so I would expect nothing less.
