Original tortoise is photo from a visit to the zoo ~ in this case, a petting zoo!
This photo for CATURDAY ART has a golden-tint overlay shadow applied, and then been sharpened to show all
the ridges and details of his lovely carapace, his shell ~ we'll just call it his "home".

For fun ~ our turtle night light, photographed and silhouetted ~ then overlaid on the tortoise.
Tortoise vs Turtle? A tortoise generally lives on the land ~ a turtle mostly in the water.

ReplyDeleteIt's been years since we were wondering what is the difference between tortoise and turtle : thanks for answering ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing and cute too!
ReplyDeleteFun! We rescued a Box Turtle, which is actually a small tortoise. We named him Mario Andretti because he could move a lot faster than you would think - MOL! He is now living happily at a Tortoise sanctuary and has a wife and kids.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot.
ReplyDeleteMy ghostwriter says that when she was growing up she had pet turtles. One was named Speedy! He lived in a plastic turtle bowl kept on the floor in the corner of the kitchen. One day her Uncle came to visit and accidentally stepped in Speedy's bowl and the poor turtle went flying through the air. (Don't worry. Speedy didn't get injured.) From then on her Uncle was knick-named Big Chief Foot-in-the-Bowl!
ReplyDeleteVery creative. We love your artwork. Mom Paula had a turtle when she was a young girl.
