Above ~ whenever Aunt Dee gives furry Zoey a good brushing, there is a lot, a whole lot, of fur!
So, one day recently, she took all that furry-fluff and put it in a pot on the patio.
Along came a little Tufted Titmouse ~ she found that fluffy treasure and said,
"oh my, tweet, tweet ~ my babies will soon have the softest nest in the whole wide world!"
Below ~ just had to "play" a little with this awesome photo ~ for the original photo above, my thanks to Aunt Dee.
"Tweet, tweet ... thank you for the nest-building fluff, purrfect for my babies, " said the Tufted Titmouse.
"You are most welcome," said Zoey, "I have plenty to share!"
Mother Nature shares, we are thankful ~ remember, tomorrow
is ARBOR DAY ~ plant a tree, share in nature.
that is nice to donate some furs... we would do that too, but with our 3 short hairs it needs a lifetime to build a nest with it ;O)
ReplyDeleteBailie says when our sister Katie the Kuvasz was still alive they would leave lots of her soft white furs outside for birds and critters to take for making comfy homes.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute and fun little nest builder! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteAll of the birdies will be happier with their nests lined with your soft furs, Zoey!
ReplyDeleteAnother thing the birdies like this time of year is eggshells. They need the calcium to make their own eggs. The next time you make an omelet, rinse out the shells and put them in your yard.
ReplyDeleteWow, I never knew that and what a great idea, thanks! We always have lots of shells, tho they usually go into the compost bin ... will happily share with our sweet tweeters!
DeleteIt's good to help the birds with their nests. You rock.
ReplyDeleteHave a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your peeps. ♥
That is such a good idea to share with the birds, we'll have to start that as well - Zoey, you are a trendsetter!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to help the birdies to build their nest ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of Zoey.
ReplyDeleteWe love how you dressed up that photo - nice of you to share, Zoey. Any birdies in need of fluff for their nests can find plenty in our yard. Misty and Timber just got a full grooming and coat blowing - they left a lot of those furs at the groomers:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I bet it will make a soft nest!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!!!
