I know it's WORDLESS WEDNESDAY (once upon a time there was a Wordy Wednesday) but I just had to say a few things ... so I'll pretend it's a Wordy Day. Anyway, it's probably not at all pawlitically correct with all the sad and bad stuff going on in the world right now ... but as a dog, I do have to admit that I am a little bit happy to have my whole family home every day. This stay at home thing is really kind of pawsome for us dogs and cats (dontcha think so all you dogs and cats out there?) I mean, I'm mostly used to just napping and layin' about all day. Get up once in awhile for a drink of water. Go fetch a toy to play with maybe. Look out the window. Bark at the mailman, although he's never scared of me anymore. Bark at that squirrel. Go nap some more. Yeah, that was my normal day. Now though: humans walk by where I'm napping ... they pat me on the head! Or give me a hug! Or say "c'mon Dougie, let's go outside and play ball for awhile". Sometimes I can follow them out into the kitchen (they are all eating or snacking at different times) and I can beg for a little snack myself ... and OhMyDog, I often get lots of snacks now, all day long! And all my family is letting me outside to play with Wilson lots more than I used to get to go out, cause the Zoolatry Human always had me on a "schedule". So, yeah, I know it's awful bad out there and I put my paws together every day that it'll be better soon ... but for us dogs and cats, well, it isn't all that bad, you know.
Big Boy agrees with you Dougie.. it is great for pets, not so great for pawrents… for me and hubby our routine is broken and we are both habitual to the point of ritualistic people. we miss that a lot.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you, Dougie. These are tough times for our peeps but great times for us pups!

I'm glad you are looking at the pawsitive, and it's especially good to hear pawsitive right now.
ReplyDeleteWe are loving having the people at home all the time too. We all need to find our lemonade or sunshine in this difficult time.
ReplyDeleteYes, Dougie, it is so nice to have all the peeps home a lot. Ours are here most of the time anyway, but lately it isn't MOST of the time, it is ALL of the time!!! As long as the cupboard is filled with food and treats for us, we are very happy. Like you, we do hope the outside world gets a lot better soon.
ReplyDeleteWoos, Lightning and Timber
The cats are getting the same treats and schedule as always, but i would imagine for some dogs, it is a wonderful life right now.
ReplyDeleteYup, it's great to have the peeps home but now we never get to take our naps. BOL
ReplyDeleteThis has worked out pretty well for us dogs.
ReplyDeleteWe are with you, Dougie. It's kinda nice having mom and dad home so much! Love, Gracie and Ava
ReplyDeleteWe love this whole self isolation thing! Mom and Dad can't go visit the grandpeeps so we get them all to ourselves. It is glorious...sad for sure but glorious! BOL! BOL!
