Mom has always gotten her cats from a rescue, and one dog as well. We support the rescue as well.

The best pets come from adoption.
ReplyDeleteRescues come from all directions. Each of us were unwanted fer various reasons an we ended up here. Variously, Ayla was a "runt of the litter", Iza was "smudgy", Marley was a sneeze-causer", and Laz was nearlky insane.
ReplyDeleteEven the previous ones were troubled. Skeeter was a kitten in a shop being renovated and terrified at the sounds (and plastic bags always terrified him. LC as a kitten scratched wildly (in the same shop but a year later) at anyone who tried to hold her and she fought being removed from her (safe?) cage.
Before her, Tinkerbelle had been spinally-injured by a big dog and it took all my patience to gain her trust (not much difference between a big dog and me in her view). But she came to trust me. I nevdeer touched her SORE SPOTS...
