HIDING
Yes. I am hiding. Mine Mommy said I had to hide, well I had to "hide my eyes", and "don't peek" she said. Because she was hiding too. 'Cept she was hiding my birthday presents! Tomorrow I will be 2-years old. Tomorrow is my birthday. Am I still a kitten? She says I sure act like one. And as you can see, even though I was s'posed to be hiding, I did peek! I mean, most two year olds would probably peek, or go searching in closets or under beds for their presents, I'm sure they would, that's just normal.
Anyway. I'm not having a big party or anything. No foods or niptinis
or treat bags, no balloons or confetti or wrapping papers to chew up.
But if you have time to visit and just say Happy Purrsday to me,
I'll be very very THANKFULS because that will be the best gift of all!
Love, Almost-Two-Year-Old June

ReplyDelete2 years old already? Happy Birthday sweet June!!! From my experience, most cats behave like kittens for the first 3-5 years of their life (unless they become Moms of course).

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday,. Miss June! well, we are here to see why you were hiding...hope you got to peek and see what all the fuss was about:)
ReplyDeleteI love that blanket you are under, Did your Mommy make that?? Our petcretary used to make a lot of baby blankets similar to yours..but she hardly does any crafts or crocheting lately...though she did make us those Dr Seuss hats a few weeks ago.
The polka dot blankie she is laying on was made by Miss Ellen, 15 and Meowing. The white fringed shawl covering her usually is draped over the top of the chair. She often pulls it down and covers herself with it! It was made for me, by a friend, to use at my wedding in Nov. 1974. We did not know what to expect for weather that day (in D.C.) and a light cover over my gown might have been needed; it was an "Indian Summer" day and so the shawl was perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the explanation!
