On this day, we are also supporting the annual event, sponsored by Five Sibes, Going Purple, in recognition of the ongoing fight against epilepsy in humans and animals. At one time, when living with family, we enjoyed the loving companionship of our grand pup, Dougie Dog who frequently filled the pages of this blog. Dougie suffered a short, but traumatic seizure one day, but with good veterinary care his health is now well controlled by medication and he remains full of energy and loving fun. The one who came before, sweet Willow, suffered only one seizure, a massive and unexpected one that was her first and last, as it took her life and at that moment she crossed her Rainbow Bridge. At the first sign of a seizure, or seizure like activity in your pet, please see medical help immediately.
By shining a light, we can reduce the darkness.
ReplyDeleteour Max had one seizure, it was the most horrible thing to ever happen to one of our dogs. I was histerical, had never seen a dog have one. He was fine for another 2 years and never had a another one,
ReplyDeleteSeizures are so scary and something I had no idea animals experienced until I started blogging.
