JUNE in JUNE

DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I HAVE WAITED FOR TODAY?  June 1 ... the first of JUNE in JUNE days?  Mine Mommy says it has only been 365-days, but I know she is wrong.  Cause it has been more like forever and ever, at least in cat time.  And I am so excited, my month. I said every day is my day in my month, but she said "sorry", there might be just a day or two for other things, "sorry".  I could not believe that, so I hid in my tent and pouted.  Then, soon I forgot, and told myself I'd make the best of it.  After all, I am June, I always do my best.  And before I really get pawing ahead with my new month of June ~ here's a little look back at my last month of June, in the year 2021, just a bit of what I was up to then . . .

 

Up top there is my blog header last June ~ and then a picture of the cicadas that invaded during the month.  They only come every 17-years or so, and make a lot of noise and are here by the tens of thousands.  They're very big, I kept trying to catch them when they'd land on the window screen.  Then, when mine Mommy was trying to store away some winter things, I got up to the top of the closet to help her, she said I wasn't much help at all.  And of course, I was in a box, for International Box Day!  And one morning she spilled my tuna breakfast in the sink, I didn't care, I ate it just the same!

A summer field trip took us out to the Smithsonian Air & Space Center at Dulles Airport and I went for a short flight in the "World's Smallest Airplane".  It was just the right size for me.  It was beautiful to fly over the Nation's Capital and then a bit North to my hometown of "Boh-T-More".  I chose the next picture cause it's a pretty one!  It shows my one pink (strawberry) jelly bean.  Also, in case you're curious, I'm waiting here beside the kitchen sink just in case mine Mommy spills anymore food in there, you never know ~ I am always at the ready when food is involved ... 

And the last two pictures, of course, not me!  In June, mine Mommy began a new series of postings, called Walk With Me.  She is kind of a new resident of the city of Boh-T-More (okay, it's really Baltimore), and as she does her walkabouts in different parts of the city, she takes photographs.  Then she learns a little by researching and reading the history of that neighborhood and posts about it.  This way she gets to know her ~ and my ~ home town.

So, what will JUNE in JUNE 2022 be all about?  Of course, I do not know.  Me 'n' my polka dots will still be around, there will be a few special days, check out the Events Here.  I don't know if Mommy will do a walkabout, maybe if it's not too hot!  Some days are sure to be boring, capital B.  I'll nap a lot, get my daily brushies, nice.  Eat too much, not so good I'm told.  Maybe I'll visit with my big bro-fur PIP, he's home from Florida now.  Mommy has promised I can visit more, but then every time she promises that other things get in the way, so even though she promises, June does not promise.  Hope you will still come see me, once in a while ~ purrs, meows, and luv,  💙 June in June.
