"To the moon, Alice, to the moon!"
That's what Ralph Kramden would say to Alice, his ever patient and loving wife,
back in 1955/56 if you're old enough to remember The Honeymooners.
"Why can't I go, too?"
Sorry, little JuneyBug, you don't even like thunder and the big booms will scare you!
Know that Mommy will be thinking of you as she watches and I'll miss you, too, fur sure ... but I'll be back home in a few days and tell you all about it! And guess what, as a bonus, Mommy gets to see her Florida family and her grands, too ~ she hasn't see them since pre-pandemic days so she is double-excited and happy! Meow!
3.2.1. GO FOR LAUNCH!
In the early morning hours of Monday, August 29, 2022
ARTEMIS 1 will launch from Pad 39B at Kennedy Space Center,
standing tall between the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon
on Merritt Island, Florida.
It will travel 1.3 million miles in just over 42 days before splashdown on 10/10/22.
If you're interested in more information about the ARTEMIS 1 launch,
here are two great links.
How exciting to go and watch the launch and see your family too. Have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteMum thinks it would be so cool to watch the launch of Artemis( or any launch) in person!
ReplyDeleteLike June, I would be happier staying home away from the big noises.
Purrs, Julie
so happy to hear you are coming to Florida and will be with your family plus see the launch. Hope the weather lets it happen. we are having these thunderstorms every single day. Beau did not get his walk this morning because of lightning. enjoy your family, takes lots of photos
ReplyDeleteJune you already live too high in the sky, whatever you do do not get on that rocket and fly higher. We hope your mom has a good time but tell her to cover her ears when they blast off, that way she can still hear you her when she gets home. Lynn used to watch The Honeymooners with her dad when she was little and when she got older she watched reruns to see why he thought they were so funny, and they were.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you won't be able to join your mom on her trip, but we're sure you will like it better at home. We hope your mom has a great time visiting with the family, too.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip!
ReplyDeleteI am sure June will learn all about it when you get back.
Safe travels!
How lucky you are to get to go watch the launch. XO
ReplyDeleteSounds like a marvelous trip in every way!
ReplyDeleteThat would be a sight to see - but not hear, if you dislike thunderstorms...
ReplyDeleteI haven't thanked you yet for the beautiful badge you designed for Minuet and me. I treasure these little gems; it's a comfort to me when they leave. Thank you.
Wow ! Good for you ! Hope June-Bug stays out of trouble.
ReplyDeleteToo cute! I wasn't around for The Honeymooners, but I sure love watching it today!
ReplyDeleteThat should be some launch! Yes June, it's way to noisy for you.
ReplyDeleteStay on Earth, June!
ReplyDeleteThere is no cat food in space, I've heard.
That's so exciting! We hope the weather keeps its end of the bargain for you, Mom Ann!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Launches are cool
ReplyDeleteMay you have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteTo June moon for us to swoon over? Anyhoo, tell the mom to take lots of pics and post some here. I'm enjoying the videos Lisa is sharing on FB. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThat must be an amazing experience to see that up close. Wonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteWe will be watching the launch! Have a wonderful time, Miss Ann!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to watch a real, live space launch! Mummy remembers watching the excitement of watching the Apollo launches in the 1960s (of course, she's a gazillion years old...)
ReplyDeleteHow exciting, you get to see a launch live - wowza! Have fun and don't forget to snap some photos.
ReplyDeleteWe think we will be happiest if we keep our feet on the ground. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteWow, sounds exciting, enjoy xxx
ReplyDeleteHave a good trip.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Truly. Because of you, I have my first science unit for a new class I have been given this year. It had me stumped! But this will be cool, doing Artemis as it happens.
