I'm waiting for sunrise. The church bells rang six times...eleven minutes ago. They always sound so very lovely. They ring first at six a.m. and they ring for the last time at nine p.m. It's good they do not ring during the night, that is very considerate. This morning sunrise is at 7:14 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:30 p.m. as the days are getting shorter. It's just a teeny-tiny bit shorter each day, you hardly notice it. My window faces East, and the harbor is close, with the bay just beyond. So if I sit here early morning I often will see very pretty sunrises. It is a good way to start ones day, with a beautiful sunrise and church bells chiming. For this I am thankful.
we have that bels too... and we have to admit, they are not very bell-oved by our staff LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely sound to wake up to. You are a very lucky girl, Juney!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect place to spend your early mornings. We know a lot of humans don't like the shorter days, but we all love it at our house as it means humans slow down, stay home more, and we have more cuddle time.
ReplyDeleteI love church bells. Regine

That is a lovely way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteA great way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteOh Junie, Mom and I envy you that opportunity each day. Wish we could hear those I know mm would never tire of them.
ReplyDeleteJune what a lovely view you have and OMCs I had no idea you could hear lovely bells during the day.
ReplyDeleteI like how huMOM has your squiggly things lined up
Hugs Cecilia
June, you do have the purrfect
ReplyDeleteYou have the perfect perch to watch the sunrise, June. We've noticed the days getting shorter, too, and wish they could stay longer so we could get more play time outside.
ReplyDeleteThe sunrise gets later and later, June.
ReplyDeleteWish it was still summertime.
Oh how wonderful you and kitty and the church bells are welcoming in the new day ~ Xo
ReplyDeleteWishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

We love sunrises, too. And the sunset is a peaceful way to end one's day. We don't much care for the shortening daylight...less time to see barkable things outside, LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds plovely. And it must be comforting to have something so constant in your life. June seems thankful for her big window on the world and her ever-growing collection of springs.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get much of church bells here, except on Sunday. In summer, though, one of the churches has a Macedonain festival, and we can hear all their great music all over the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteyou have a room with a view, plus a tower that fits your tush purrfectly. plus bells and someone who serves you breakfast
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a lovely way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteA nice way to start, and to close, each day.
ReplyDeleteThe harbor is very pretty and you must have fun hearing the bells and watching the sun come up sweet June. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely, June!
ReplyDeleteI grew up hearing a church bell chime out each hour (24/7), so I know how wonderful it can be. You're very fortunate. And to be near a harbor, too! It sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIt must be nice to hear the bells every day. XO
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful way to start your day. We can't see the sunrise because of the trees, and the church nearest is too far to hear the bells over the traffic noise. We do get some spectacular sunsets, though.
ReplyDeleteThere is something peaceful and romantic about church bells.
ReplyDeleteWe agree, this sounds like a wonderful way to start the day!!
