RESOLUTIONS

Good Morning ~ I'm just waiting patiently (under the table) for breakfast to be served, it is taking furever.  She would tell you "she has her reasons", which are totally unreasonable in my opinion.

You see, she wanted me to promise, it was called resolve ~ or make a resolution, that come the New Year ~ I would not wake her up at 4:00 am, when it was still dark outside.  I did try.  But my tummy made rumbly noises and I just could not help myself, so I meowed, and then I pawed at her foot and then meowed louder and then pawed at her arm which was sticking out from under the covers ... and then she mumbled "not yet".  I know what "not yet" means.

But I didn't care.

So I jumped off the bed.  I waited.  Then I made a flying leap and jumped back up onto the bed, landing all 14 pounds of me on her not-yet-rumbly-tummy.  "OMG CAT June she yelled!"  But it worked, it always does.  So up she got.  And anyway, in my opinion, resolutions are meant to be broken.

  1. June I think you got your resolution off on the right paw. It's called make 'em and break 'em. Precious

  2. we think your mom should make a resolution to get up at 4 am every day and feed you without you having to prod her with your shenninagans....

    1. Not gonna happen. I resolve to learn how to control my cat. I resolve she will not control me. Fully recognizing yet again that resolutions do get broken.

  3. We cats have to wait SO long in between meals. I really don't think humans understand.
You need to work on your human to get her to comply with your needs. Maybe a nice bedtime snack ;)

  4. Mom will never be in total charge as long as she has you. She knows it and so do you. You made me laugh out loud.

  6. June I have not sympathy for you...Madi was a 4 am needy kitty too. She knew exactly where human bladders were located too. Thankfully she outgrew this habit at about 2 or 3 years old.

  7. It's a tough row to hoe, trying to outwit a cat who has gotten her way.
Let us know how it goes!

  9. That wasn't nice to pounce on your mommy's tummy in the middle of the night, June. It's tough to resist when your tummy is rumbling but we think you should let your mom sleep a little longer.

  10. I was lucky June, the boys never woke me up early. Probably because they knew how grumpy I was before my first cup of coffee.

  12. I wake my mom up around 2am every single morning but unfortunately, jumping on her bed is impossible. Maybe landing next to your mom would be a better option than landing on top of her, Juney.

  13. Oh June...maybe you can come to some sort of compromise?? We tend to notice when Jakey wakes Mama up at 4am to go potty...she tends to get a bit cranky during the day.

  15. What about a simple automatic feeder that opens at 3-4PM with a small pre-breakfast inside, just enough to calm your tummy and let your mom sleep a few more hours ? (that's what we have) Purrs
