MY BLANKIE STORY: PART 1 and PART 2

It is Thankful Thursday, and I am thankful for my Blankie Basket.  It's big, it's comfy ~ especially with my polka dot blankie on top [which Ms Ellen made just for me].  Lots of other blankies underneath, which makes it a wonderful spot to curl up in day or night.  But I have to tell you about a few little things that sometimes make me not too thank-ing thankful.  See, mine Mommy has this need to move stuff here and there, she does it a lot.  Now it's one thing to move her stuff, but quite another to move my stuff.  Also, everyfurry knows by now we live in a little studio which means our beds are in the same room we live, work and play in all day long ~ so like, we got to make our beds everyday cause otherwise we'd live in a really messy room, right?  A few times a year she moves the big stuff.  A lot more often she moves the small and smaller stuff [you can read that as my stuff]. So, without further intro, let me tell you ~

My Blankie Story, Part 1

This is me. Napping, oh so comfy, in my Blankie Basket and
this is me again, having been awakened to have my picture taken!
And below: I have learned to "make my bed", cool right?
Even though sometimes I sleep on top, I like to fix it just so
I can get under the covers when I am ready for my next nap.

My Blankie Story, Part 2

But when I went to have that next nap,
my afternoon nap, guess what?  My Blankie Basket
was not where it had been when I had my morning nap!
And as nicely as I had prepared my blankie to curl up under ... no, not!

Sigh.  All my hard work.  She had done it again.  I often wondered if she worked
for Allied Van Lines in another life ... but I would not be deterred from the
task at hand.  My motto: what June wants, June gets.  I can do this!

Yes.  I love my Blankie Basket. Where it goes I shall follow.
And I am thankful.

While I'm awake, I think I'll hop over to Brian's Home to
join the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop ~
but I'd better be quiet, cause I saw that he's napping too ...

  3. I'm so proud of you for being able to find your blankie and your basket and be able to get back inside of it. But there's no doubt about it, you simply cannot convince us humans to leave things alone.

  4. It would be odd to have our stuff moved around all the time. We are used to it staying in the same place most of the time. At least your place is small, so you can easily find what you are looking for.

  5. Wish we had advice for you, June...why does she move your stuff like that?
My Meowmy did the same thing as I grew up; she rearranged the furniture about every quarter year.
As for my home, everything stays right where we put it!
Or we hide it in the spare bedroom, then close the door...

  6. you could do a TV show called June-Have Blankie Basket, will travel! Dogs don't like their beds moved, but like you they do follow the bed.. you sure make a great tent

  7. Our Mom often moves our things and even Fenris has been known to cart them off from time to time, we play with his stuff too and you all know Chimera steals his bed. Glad you found your basket June and made yourself comfy no matter where you Mom moves it.

  19. My mom says there is a place for everything and everything has it's place. Unfortunately when she moves something she never remembers where that place was.

  20. Your mama just loves to decorate, and it can get boring looking at the same thing all of the time. Humor her, she needs it.

  21. This sequence of pix is better than a movie. June's expressions are so adorable, and they fit purrfectly with your words. Talk about being in sync. I think you two can read each other's thoughts. Amazing! Thanks for the smiles.

  22. Humans don't care what they do with our stuff. I still can't get at my Tree of Pain by the window cos stuff the peeps moved for the Christmas tree is still is front of it. Any time TW gives something away or throws something out, it's always mine.
