  1. Oh no! Tell me it isn't so. Well, June is well protected in her hiding place, so you can rest easy on that account. I imagine, you will be fine, too, Ann, but you may not be able to get around outside for a while. Wishing you a benign winter storm. We are having one here as well, but not as severe.

  2. We agree with you, June.
Best to hide until the storms are over, and send the very best to those who were hard hit.

  3. Florida had some damage but not in our part, all of that was north of us. we did get a couple of inches or rain, but it was here and gone in 10 minutes. fast moving storm. we had high winds but no damage. no power loss. we needed the rain. Saint pete got a lot of beach damage and our state capitol is shut down today by damage. I love your photo at the top, that storm behind you makes you ever prettier

  6. Lulu: "That looks like a pretty good hiding place from bad weather! I usually curl up under Dada's desk, myself."
Chaplin: "Dennis was partial to Dada's closet!"

  8. We got the big storm last night and my evil mom had me locked out of my favorite hiding place - the bathtub! She's afraid with all of my new issues, I will get hurt trying to get in and out. You have a great hiding spot, Juney!

  11. That's quite a view of the storm, June! We got lots of wind here, we're okay but reports of lots of trees down, and some more serious damage south of us. Haven't heard from everyone yet

  15. We were in the path of that storm and around 4:30pm yesterday our power went out when a dead ash tree fell across our power line and blocked our driveway. It started a little fire but luckily since there was snow on the ground it put itself out. We got our power back late this morning. Mom had to go shopping today, after she just went yesterday morning, to replace some of our refrigerated and frozen food that didn't survive the outage. Stay safe June.

  16. Yes, June, we also think hiding is the best thing when there's a bad storm, or just cuddling really close with our Momy and Daddy! XOX Xena

  17. Sometimes all you can do is hunker down and ride it out. I agree about hoping everyone is safe.

  19. We got a lot of wet snow followed by buckets of rain. It was like trying to shovel a swamp!

Friday we are going to get more...a lot more. Blech! Of course its my weekend to work...so then I will be tired from snow shoveling before I even get there....hubby can't do that chore...anymore. I wish we would move to a condo, but then our pups would lose this huge wonderful yard...

  21. Hope that storm didn't bother you too much, June, or Mom either. We have bitter cold here and snow. But it is really too cold to be out enjoying it.
