CATURDAY ART ~ PAST and PRESENT at MACY'S

Once upon a Christmas month, in 2017 to be precise, little Zoey (now an Angel, but then a fun loving and cuddle-up kitty girl) got herself all dressed up in her best Santy Paws suit and hurried down to Herald Square ~ 34th Street, midtown Manhattan.  She didn't want to be late, the call had gone out from Macy's that purrsonnel would be interviewing for their Santa's that very day!  Arriving just at daylight, it was very disheartening to see a long line of Santa-Look-Alikes, big, tall and with fluffy white beards, and most on the chubby side already waiting there!  And of course, no going to Gimbels anymore, that big store right across the street, gone, gone, long gone!  But Zoey was always determined, purrsistent and followed her dreams.  A bit worried that she was so little, so tiny, no fluffy beard, just a few cute whiskers, but those big chubber Santa's didn't really notice her as she pawed her way forward in that long, long line ... would she get there, be chosen ...

A Christmas dream ~ "Mommy, guess what," June said, when she woke up this morning ~ "remember when you told me the story about Angel Zoey and how she wanted to be a Santy Paws at Macy's once upon a time?  That's what I dreamt about last night!  I got all dressed up in my Santy suit, and together we stood in line with all those chubber Santa's with big white beards, waiting to be interviewed ... it was so exciting ..."

So, are you going to be a Santa at Macy's?

"Meow. I'm waiting for a text message. Check my your our phone."
