So, here's the "backstory" for One-Eyed Jack. He asked why Dad wrote that Zoey was clawing dead frogs off windows instead of chasing lizards. Well, we aren't SwampCats, but then all of flaheeda is swamp (like caleefornya we'll sink into the ocean one day...). When it rains a little we get big puddles, when it rains a lot -- we build an ark. And them froggies out in the woods around our beans house really, really love the puddles. But at night they follow the lights and are all over the windows and doors. Mommy won't even open a door after dark cause she's afraid one'll get inside. And Daddy, well, they weren't really dead frogs we was after... Mom wants us to clean up all the poo they leave on the glass! Yuk! I say get a fritter-box for them. Me, usually I just sit and watch. Maggy, well, she cries and moans and claws and jumps... does she really think she'll catch one? So, Jack that's our story and we're sticking to it, just like froggies stick on the windows! Maybe you don't have froggies in Alberta... mmm... is that near Saskatoon where GreatGran was born? With a slimy leap and a quick jump... we're off.
Those are a lot of frogs! We have lots that sing in our yard at night, but I don't think we have nearly as many as you do. Most of our animal watching involves squirrels, chipmunks, and birds.
ReplyDeleteLots of froggies, huh? Like Tybalt we have lots of squirrels and birds that keep our interest...oh yeah and all the intruder kitties that like to visit us.

Frogs! That looks like way to much fun!!!! I should wish we had frogs to play with at the door--and what a great window door you have too. I am so jealous.
ReplyDeletewow! look at that frog. i wonder...do they taste like chicken???
ReplyDeleteTaste like chicken? So they say, KFC deep fried old fashioned. Guess we'll never know for sure, unless one does sneak into the house!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very funny picture both of you at the frontdoor! :)
ReplyDeleteI wished that we had froggies on our windows...
And I am soooo proud! I'll post them Saturday. ;)

Yep! Florida & frogs go together. The other week mom had to catch two of them little critter and put them back outside. We had some fun though before she caught them. We hunted them down for her.

I would definetly want to chase those frogs!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the purrs, I'm home now. The V-E-T didn't find the feather, so we are assuming it passed "naturally" and maybe something that was on it gave me an upset tummy. But I came home with some yuccky medicine because of it!
