Most of the images on the Zoolatry blog are the result of my photoshop work, as are those we create for many other bloggers. Adobe Photoshop is a passion for me, if not a downright obsession. However, I am self taught and most finished images are a combination of experimentation, luck and try, try again. The problem with this is when I've created an image that is satisfactory to me and I hope, pleasing to the viewer, most often I cannot re-create a similar image as I've no idea "how I got there". It's quite frustrating to say the least. Here is one such image ~ the handsome cat, MR HENDRIX. This image was originally posted to my other blog, COLLECTIBLES by Zoolatry, and it remains one of my all time favorites. Black on black, mostly black.
Wow !!! Very Handsome Cat and Gorgeous Mostly Black !
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning photo ~ made even better by the gorgeous white whiskers!
ReplyDeleteLet me say one thing. WOW! I'm partial to the House Panthers, my lap robe being one himself, so always look for the black cat and wonder how could this and that picture be tweaked. I've no experience, and there's no way I can gain any, with the big software. I tried Gimp since it was free and could NOT handle it. So when I see this shot I curse my old age lack of learning power. Wife calls it lazy. That is museum quality in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteJust my thoughts .....
What a wonderful photo!! <3<3 I LOVE Graphic art too but I use PaintShop Pro 9
ReplyDeleteThat pic has always been a favourite of ours!
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous portrait of the handsome Mr.H.
ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful. It is so hard to get good photos of black animals, never mind turning it into a wonderful graphic. The Momster wonders if she will ever get it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday.

ReplyDeleteTruly lovely. Mommy looks on and wishes she would get up the nerve to do Photoshop or the like. She'd be like you said tho...not know how she got there if she lucked into something cool.
ReplyDeleteSo purrrty!
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my most favorite of your portraits (besides the one you created of my momma Ellie and me together...mom has is as her wallpaper both at home and at work!).

Very nice! My mom is still experimenting with PHoto Shop and she says a few choice words while trying to emulate you!
ReplyDeleteI must say he IS a gorgeous feline! But if it's photoshopped does that mean he is the colors we actually see? I mean, is he all black with just white whiskers? Either way it's a lovely shot. I just can't tell these things. In our house The Gurl is the Photoshop Queen and yes I agree it IS an obsession!!!
