We watched from along the Indian River near Cocoa Village;
not wanting to venture closer and get caught in huge traffic jams.
A perfect launch. Very overcast, very hot, very humid.
Saw little except the "light" ... smoke plume's
obscured by cloud cover. Big booms!
What a great photo to mark the end of a glorious era. Godspeed, Atlantis!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you could be a part of it but how sad it is the end.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Thank you for your kind words for Whicky. We miss him very much and to know so many loved him has touched us deeply

Mom and Dad went to the beach to watch. They didn't want to get caught in traffic so they stayed close to home. We didn't hear any booms but got a nice glimpse of Atlantis before it went into the clouds.

Thanks for sharing. Our Daddy is in Jacksonville, FL this week for work and he said he saw people going to the beach there to watch the launch but he doubted they saw anything.
ReplyDeleteHe had to go to work so he couldn't try.
I'm so sad this is the last one!
