Ralph Kramden of "the Honeymooners" famously used to say, "to the moon, Alice, to the moon!"
And so off we went. Not Alice. But dozens of great men and women, our astronauts, braving the
challenges of space. Some who did not return.
Having lived for 20-years on Merritt Island (home to the Kennedy Space Center) it was
a privilege to witness dozens of shuttle launches and rocket launches from Cape Canaveral over
those years. Thank you to all who made our space program the best, and to all who will
follow in the years to come.
Below: Shuttle Atlantis now makes her home at KSC in a very moving and beautiful
exhibit. If you visit Florida, try to visit the space center to see this.
Today we celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
Zoey says ...
"When you're hot, you're hot!
When you're not ... well, you're not!"
Right now, I'm not so hot, so this is an old Cinco de Mayo picture of me.
But I am doing a little better and I go back to "see" my eye doctor tomorrow ...
