In the cold of a January winter, I have the pleasure of traveling to Florida for a month with dear friend Dee in her RV. Along with us, the three kitties ~ TK, Pip and Zoey.
The past two years we've spent a few days with dear friends Susan and Alan, who live in the beautiful area surrounding the Ocala National Forest. The RV gets parked on their property ... we all kick back to enjoy good company, good conversation, music (Alan is a superb musician), food and wine ... even a spectacular bonfire!
We've been welcomed by their goats ... woodland critters, beautiful birds above ... and by their pups ... Merry, Goldie and Sammy.
Early mornings each day would find Goldie and Sammy sitting patiently at the RV door ... waiting for some ear scritching. Or perhaps, hoping to get a sniff of those three kitty cats inside (NOT!).
So, it is with much sadness that we've learned handsome Sammy, he with the beautiful blue eyes and patient loving manner has just crossed his rainbow bridge. When we visit again ~ we will miss you, Sammy! Run free now, beyond the rainbow.
