I suspect, based on observation, that June's favorite toy is her "poople (purple) mousie". Her Aunt Dee gave it to her and it once belonged to a kitty who came before, Angel Zoey. For the most part, June is not one to play with toys a lot. If she does, her interest is short lived. She finds "other" things to be more to her liking ~ an empty kleenex box filled with her jingle balls, a thin strip of paper, the about to be tossed away cardboard paper towel roll. My handbag, my shoes, the bathtub (when I'm in the shower, of course!). A paper clip, a rubber band. The coffee maker, but only when coffee is brewing. HOT! I keep a constant watch on her when she "plays" with the things not meant to be played with and they are whisked away after a very short time. Often though, I use them to challenge her, to make her work. And I'll look for something to use that might be "new" to her, that will spark her curiosity.
Having just emptied the little bath trash bucket, I set it on the living room floor. She watched me from her polka dot chair. Wondering. Turning my back to her, from her toy box I took a sparkly toy and that beloved mousie, into the bucket they went. Walking away, only a few seconds passed before that infamous cat curiosity took hold. Just one little peek inside. Then a better look. Back away. But wait, there is something in there. Whap! Words not needed, the pictures tell the story. The End.
June is cute retrieving her poople mousie.
