I'M GETTING READY!
The U.S. Navy Band ~ the Baltimore Symphony ~ Fireworks over the Inner Harbor!
The 4th of July is almost here!
The 4th of July is almost here!
So we got out the box of decorations-stuff so I could decide what I'd like to wear ... should it be my stars & stripes hat? My mask is important, there will be lots of peeples & pets as these are the first fireworks since before the pandemic (!) ... maybe I can hold some sparklers, and I must have my American flag! I did want to take along my new stuffie, her name is EllyBelly, but mine Mommy said she might project an
"unwelcome pawlitical statement" and this is not the time or place for that, meow.
She didn't take these ↓ out of the box, but I found them later at the very bottom when she wasn't looking. Oh what fun ... I did get grounded for the rest of the day after I lit them up (WOW!) and the whole studio got filled up with purrty sparkles and pops-n-bangs!
Thankfully I don't get scaredy at loud noises, and thankfully she is
the one who will have to get Mr Dyson from the closet to sweep away all the sparklies,
but golly, I was just celebrating!
June, your header photo looks like how I feel about the rockets going off this weekend. Startled. But I'm hiding under a hanging sheet over the banister while our new neighbor gets a new yard bulldozed at the same time as the rockets. I'll be out one day next week, Precious
ReplyDeleteYou have already had your 4th of July Celebration a few days ahead of time. You look so cute in your mask. we have neighbors that are setting off fireworks last night and the night before and waking us up plus Beau who is afraid of nothing not even thunder is not liking it at all. it makes him pace. and gets me IRE way up HIGH
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute dressed for 4th of July. Be careful the sparkler doesn't get on your furs.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking very festive, June!

ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
You sure are having fun getting ready for the holiday weekend, June. Can you see the fireworks display from your apartment?
ReplyDeleteYes, we can! Actually, last year we can saw "multiple" fireworks from at least 5 different locations. Even tho they did not have the BIG ONES at the Harbor, we saw many others ... so this year, there are likely to be even more to see, from the top!!!
DeleteYou can never prepare enough for the Fourth of July. It's a veritable explosion of sight, sound and emotion. Don't forget you have a date with Dani on the Truman Balcony at the White House to watch the fireworks. I hope you can fit it into your busy day.
ReplyDeletePeople have been shooting off fireworks in our neighborhood already. Good thing Chester isn't much bothered by them. Have fun on the 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you're all set for fun times, Juney!
ReplyDeleteYou are so patriotic June. I like your new toy. :) XO
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute celebrating 4th July. Those fireworks must be annoying though.
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute, and ready to celebrate, June! Our kitties here are being party poopers, all checking out their hiding places and getting ready to hunker down.
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with celebrating! You look so adorably patriotic.
ReplyDeleteYou look so festive sweet June! I'll bet the fireworks over the harbor are something special!
ReplyDeleteAww, you're all set to celebrate, Juney. How festive!
ReplyDeleteOh, June, can we pop over for a visit and watch those fireworks with you? That would be so much fun. Love ALL your art today.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
You should be the spokes cat for American Independence.
ReplyDeleteWOW, June, I bet that was .lots of fun after the initial surprise 'explosion'!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Look at all the pawty supplies! Your Peep is prepared! Our human is not. She tossed all the Canada Day stuff that was stored in the garage as the mice got into it while she was living in Vancouver. But we always have our Canada Flag flying on the post by the river in the back yard. Have we told you that our yard is where the original ferry to get across the river was? Th en they finally surveyed and discovered it was actually 400 yards south. We are getting ready for the celebrations south of us! We heard fireworks last night, we expect to hear them again tonight and then again on Independence Day! We love you sparkly art June! Purrs Marv
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Be careful with those rocket things. Stick to the foam rockets like I do. TW says she doesn't feel much like celebrating the 4th what with the supreme court and stuff. Bah!
ReplyDeleteSparkles are just too much fun to pass up!
