June went to see Santa at the mall the other day, well, for her it was a "virtual visit". First thing she did was get into the bag by his big boots, pawing around in hopes of finding treats and toys. We all know about that cat in the bag thing!
She had a very long list for him, and kept way too many other little kits and kids, and pups waiting far too long. Both Santa and I had to tell her "not yet". Thankfully, she knows what 'not yet' means, as she hears it a bazillion times a day, usually about ten in the morning when she meows for lunch, way too early ~ and again around three in the afternoon when she begins to paw at my feet wanting her supper! So when Santa proclaimed "not yet", and told her that the happy and colorful month of December is about to begin, but she still has to wait a whole 25-days until he gets in his sleigh to visit one and all ... she gave a whiney little meow, and we went home.
Waiting is hard, June.
ReplyDeleteJune, just make sure you don't get lost in Santa's big red bag and get delivered to somebody besides your mommy.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to see Santa and your photo and Xander's photos are so cute, Juney! We love your Christmas blog header!
ReplyDeletePhod has never met Santa but Lee has and she did not love it. Lee and Phod
ReplyDeleteYou can't blame June for loving Christmas. You made me smile.

It's too bad you didn't find any treats in Santa's bag, June. Xander is such a cutie in his holiday photo.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous new header, purrfect for the Holidays and what a fun bag to play in. had to laught at 'not yet' because Beau knows that really well, he gets the same as you do, before meals, but he alos gets it when he wants to walk and we have to wait on the sun to rise.
ReplyDeleteWe took Pipo to see Santa...for real...in 2019...turns out that was also his last Christmas here on earth...
ReplyDeleteDalton has seen Santa, too, but it stressed him out a lot. Benji went once too, but since we don't take Dalton, then he doesn't go either...sigh...so we visit in virtual ways, and have fun remembering the real one we had!
This year there is a Santa visit time too, at our local most favorite pet shop, but its on a Sunday...we don't do commercial things on Sunday in this household...though well, sometimes petcretary has to work, like this year she has to work on Christmas Day.
We say, we should don our Santa toques and go visit the residents while she helps them...sure, right? As if, BOL!
Miss June, you sure do look pretty in that Santa sack!! Don't let him haul you away, though!
We know how you feel June...but the days leading up to Christmas are so very exciting!
ReplyDeleteJune behaved so pawlitely with Santa. Some little ones are afraid of him, but she knew what she wanted and made it known. Love the pictures by the way, including the ones of your granddaughter and new pet grandpuppy, Xander, who couldn't be any more adorable!
ReplyDeleteFun photos for the Christmas season. June looks adorable as always and the puppy dog is just too cute!
