THE LETTER S ~ SUNRISE
It is said there is no yesterday, tomorrow has not yet arrived and we have only today, the present. To see the new day arrive lifts the spirit. We may not always be in a place as beautiful as this when it begins, or clouds may cover the horizon we see, yet it is always right to be thankful to have been gifted another day.
Today is Earth Day, we have a responsibility to ensure sunrises and sunsets are there for all who follow us.
The last job I had required rising early as the commute by bus was long.
ReplyDeleteThe upside to the very early rising was to see the sun come up!
Habit gets me up early and my reward is the beautiful sunrise :)
May people embrace our planet and care for it too. They will be rewarded with many sunrises and sunsets!
Purrs, Julie and the mum
That is a beautiful sunrise, and long may they continue.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous sunrise!
ReplyDeleteI am out side at daybreak every day, Beau and I enjoy the breaking day as it happens, while walking, some are spectacular and some are just beautiful, some are stormy clouds. No matter which happens it is always beautiful and we always see birds and hear them sing.
ReplyDeleteJune and Mom this is a splendid S word
ReplyDeleteOMCs did I see a beautiful sunrise this morning.
It was hues of reddish pink and purple and blue.
They are predicting severe weather later today. Makes me crazy when the weather geeks get all excited.
Potential for everything except snow, sleet or hurricanes.
Hugs Cecilia
Mother Nature uses beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful photo and important post. Happy Earth Day, Ann and June.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sunrise picture. We rarely are up early enough to see them in this house, but we do enjoy a good sunset once in a while.
ReplyDeleteWell said June! Happy Earth Day!
ReplyDeleteI loved the Indian River...the sunrises and the sunsets. The perfect shade of deep blue at the dome of the sky and the incomparable clouds, white and perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous picture! I completely agree about Earth Day and the urgent need for humans to protect this planet. It's the only one we will ever have.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise. XO
ReplyDeleteThata is such a beautiful scene!
ReplyDeleteSunrise is such a beautiful time of day, it's a joy to be awake when everything feels so new and fresh again.
ReplyDeleteSunrises mean the world as we know it hasn't ended and I'm still alive. Both good.
ReplyDeleteSo agree with this Earthday sentiment. Alas, we’ve been having so many overcast/foggy days near me in NYC lately (climate change?) that we have to catch sunrises when we can.
ReplyDeleteHow utterly ethereal! Yes, we must each contribute to the perpetuity of this miracle on a daily basis.
