THE LETTER R ~ REAR
In the pet community we're rather silly about photographing our pets nether regions a/k/a the rear end or what we tend to call their tocks! Even going so far as to celebrate on a special day in October that is called TOCKTOBER. Do our pets care, we may never know.
Well, this is more about a bird than a rock. An American Bald Eagle, age 31, name of Murphy, who lives at the World Bird Sanctuary in Valley Park, Missouri and he's a 'rock solid guy' so to speak. If you've not followed his story, we suggest you check in for the latest episode ~ it will warm your heart! Murphy is doing just what he is meant to do, that rock he sat upon for so very long ~ well, some way, somehow, there are times when everything does work out wonderfully. If you're not able to open the link below to the story from Thursday's Washington Post, just search out Murphy online, you will find his story. Rock on, Murphy!
That was a lovely story about Murphy. He knew if he sat on his rock long enough he would end up with his chick.
ReplyDeletethat as a super story... we ae with you... rock on and it's all rock n'oll
ReplyDeleteJune, we humans do have a fixation with our cats' 'tocks, for some reason. I loved Derry's chunky thighs and rotund bottom. LOL.
ReplyDeleteAs for that story--oh, it was wonderful! I actually had no idea that a male eagle would want to incubate an "egg". I'm glad the chick found a great step-dad in Murphy. :-)
I've seen the story of Murphy, it really is one that grabs your heart and I'm glad the eaglet and Murphy found one another! ❤
ReplyDeleteSuch a happy story :) They each needed each other .

Rear is funny. We don't mind having our photos taken most of the time. When we see the camera, we come a running, cats may feel differently, though. HappyFriday!
ReplyDeleteTick Tock slow down the clock. June, we love to see your tocks anytime but for now we'll take spring over October. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI can't read it without signing up, i have been to the site to many times in the past few days and now I am at my limit. we all love the cute rears of our babies.
ReplyDeleteNo sure about the fascination with rear ends but we were definitely fascinated by Murphy - more power to his parenthood. xxx Mr T

ReplyDeleteYes, we humans get much too involved in our kitties' nether regions!
ReplyDeleteI read about Murphy and his chick, who may be able to be released into the wild.

ReplyDeleteCute rear you got, June. Oh, Just tell me what you want me to do for June in June. I believe June 27 is my birthday. I'll have to check with Pop.
ReplyDeleteNice story about the eagle! And June, cute rear!
ReplyDeleteYou are rockin' the tocks sweet June! Rock is such a super sweet Eagle and a wonderful Dad!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful story about Murphy.
ReplyDeleteNothing beat a rocking rear
ReplyDeleteSo sweet! And kitty tushies are the cutest :)
ReplyDeleteJune, you are beautiful from every angle.
ReplyDeleteThe story is a great one, i hope Murphy's baby grows up healthy and strong.
Thank you for joining Feline Friday!
Looks like 31 year old Murphy is a new dad, and he seems to know how to do it right!
ReplyDeleteWe think June has cute tocks! That eagle sure does rock the rearing duties.
ReplyDeleteBravo, Murphy! 🦅
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I saw this on my newsfeed.
ReplyDeleteMales of this species are not alone in fostering the young. Human men could take a lesson, here, and be the 'rock' for theirs.
