HIGH FIVE SUNDAYS
High Five Sundays was a regular "event" on Zoolatry, running randomly from 2009 through 2014. We invited pet friends to simply let us know if they were interested in participating, and if so, give us permission to choose a photo from their blog to work with. Over time, many came forward ~ though today, many of those represented here have either crossed their Rainbow Bridge, or no longer are active bloggers ~ yet may be familiar to our readers.
The purpose of High Five Sunday was to assemble a collection of images around a common theme: color or style, art technique or in one posting, the breed. We enjoyed creating these images, always sent them to the "blog/pet owners" to post on their own media if they wished to do so. Originally, all were shown larger, here they have been regrouped into smaller images.
every single one of these are truly amazing. wow! so glad you are doing this.
ReplyDeleteSo many beauties!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, stunning. I remember so many of these cats, too, sadly crossed to the Bridge. This is a lovely way to honour them.
ReplyDeleteSuch great photos and probably great memories for you as you sort through all the old photos. I'm sure it is a lot of work but also fun.

I remember so many of these babies. And it was so good to see Pierro again. His momma misses him to this second.
ReplyDeleteThey're all so beautiful! My momma made photos like yours when my family arrived and we all needed Forever Homes. We were on PetFinders but she wanted us to stand out. It worked! We all got homes (and I got the best one of all).
ReplyDeleteAlways beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteSo much really beautiful artwork here! Lovely for all to look at, and I'm sure it's very meaningful to those who miss their pets who have moved on.
ReplyDeleteWow ! We did not know many of these beautiful kitties ! (we wish we had) Thanks so much for sharing them !
ReplyDeleteThose are all so adorable and precious!
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful to take this trip down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteWhen mum found the Cat Blogosphere, she thought is was strange to have cats blogging.
Luckily, Mickey changed her mind and our blog was born in 2007. What fun it has been and I am
happy to carry on the blog(and hope to keep up the tradition Mickey started). So many pawsome
cats(and other critters) over the years. Such adventures that were had, and are still having. Mum, and myself
are SO happy we found this amazing community that has been going for so many years! We never tire of seeing what our friends are doing and welcoming new bloggers :) It has been a pawsome ride. Friends have come and gone and new friends are appearing. Here's to the never ending stories!!!!!!!!
Purrs, Julie and the mum(Nancy)
There are several that I used to communicate with, but more that I don't know. It's a grand collection of past and present combining today. GJ, Eric&Flynn, Jonesie, and Cats of Wildcat Woods were some of my regulars. Thanks for the memories.
ReplyDeleteI'm really a dog person. I have a black lab/always did. They're very lovable, but aren't all animals. I love kitties too, but they're a lot of work & I've had 3 back surgeries now & hubby does enough work around here besides Charlie (my dog) he's like my buddy & helps me. There's so many things he can do for me besides give a lot of love. I love petting kitties they're so lovable.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing collection of your special artwork, Ann. Again, there are so many beautiful and touching memories here. Thank you. XO
ReplyDeleteWe are in awe of your photographs
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful kitties. I wish I had known more of them. XO
ReplyDeleteThese are so gorgeous! What treasures.
ReplyDeleteSome friends and many strangers but all beautiful cats that are remembered.
