We LiveStrong Today was the inspiration of Jan of The Cat's Meow blog, home to Milo and Alfie and was designed and developed by Ann of Zoolatry, home to Maggy and Zoey. Both Jan and Ann had their lives impacted by cancer, and knew how much it meant to have the support of others. It first published in 2010, and bloggers were invited to post their own images and stories through a collaborative effort, or were assisted with images created by Zoolatry, as shown here. For five years following, the blog remained open for all who wanted to add new postings or update their personal stories. There were many ~ too many ~ and looking back, too many with sad endings.
This is a fight that continues to this day. In the years since, progress has been achieved but this fight is far from over. Families, friends and our pets ~ are still engaged in the battle and our prayers, our friendship and continuing support is needed.
Below are two simple badges, feel free to copy/share/use either on your own social media if you choose to do so, to show you care ~ to continue to live strong! Thank you.
this is a beautiful tribute to all of those who fought and died and to those who are still fighting this horrid disease.

I have lost my mom, uncles and aunts and good friends to cancer...My brother recently was diagnosed with malignant melanoma, but for now he is fine.I my self battled and overcame stage 3B (Almost stage 4), ovarian cancer..., way back in 2006-7. I consider myself a miracle, because this cancer is very notorious for 'hiding' until its too late...God healed me...with the aid of good doctors and medicines...and I am eternally grateful for that. I use the opportunity often, to tell peeps about my experience(s), and its yet another reason why I do the work I do...its my way of practicing my thankfulness by my actions to be of assistance to others.
It was really nice to see Arty Mouse, we still miss her so much. Thanks for including her Livestrong Badge.
ReplyDeleteCancer took my aunt, who was like a mother to me, and my Lexi, my heartdog. I have downloaded your livestrong badge, and am so very thankful you won the fight.
