It's the 1st of June ~ 
usually the day June (the cat) jumps up to claim her month, 
the one she's waited all year long for ~ hers and hers alone!

But she was exceptionally good this morning, and agreed (with encouragement)

to give up this special day, so together we could share news about

The Cat Blogosphere with you ~ meow !

The times they are a-changing it is said.  After over ten years of designing monthly

events badges (plus a whole lot more stuff), I'm stepping back a little bit and

so want to take today to introduce the newest member of the CB Team,

but also tell you a bit about all of our team ~ just in case you're not familiar

with those who work (and love to do it) every day on behalf of your blogs!

Barb Kowalik joins us as CB Events Designer.

We reached up and out and North across  the border to Canada and convinced

the creative and artistic (well known to many already) Barb to join our team.

Thankfully, she agreed ~ though I suspect there was some meowing and barking

encouragement from Marv, Kozmo, JoJo, Cinnamon and even the

vociferous Angel Queen Nellie Bellie!

Terry probably doesn't need any introduction ~ but here we go anyway.  

The CB simply would not be here without his 24/7 effort, a true labor of love, on

behalf of us, on behalf of all our pets, yours, his, all pets everywhere.

BRIANS HOME FOREVER began in 2008 and is a home that has overflowed

with kitties ever since, each and every one given dignity, the ultimate in care

and attention throughout their lives.  A healthy and happy feral colony,

equally well cared for lives in the yard of their home ~ yet somehow Terry

manages to run the Cat Blogosphere every day, post to his own blog,

and comment on nearly every one of your blogs!

We all need to give him a big applause and heartfelt thank you.

Sierra Koester, CB Content Manager.

Sierra is an award-winning freelance writer who brought her talents to the CB

in 2022 with the weekly column "Saturdays With Sierra".  A terrific round up

of all the news you may have missed and the coming events you don't want to miss!

She writes feature articles of importance to the pet community ~ she manages

the CB Facebook page, and the private CB Facebook Group.  

And has now published her first book ~ PURRSEVERANCE, a compilation of cat stories that

will warm your heart (you can learn more by clicking on the CB sidebar link).

All this while caring for kitties Tylan and Giovanni and posting to her

own cat blog, FUR EVERYWHERE.

Always interested in photography, art and animal life in general, I brought

these together with the start of my blog in June 2007, and tip-toed into

doing images for the CB and for many other pet bloggers around 2013.

It became a regular part of my "portfolio of sorts" in 2016, designing monthly

events badges, annual events and a complete Cat Blogosphere makeover in 2022.  

Together, Barb and I will collaborate on annual and other special events.

At this time, I've chosen to step back a bit, but told our CB Team,

"I am so confident in Barb, as you look at the newly designed Events Badges

for this month, June 2024,

you'll see right away that Barb was the purr-fect choice!"

So, welcome Barb, and thank you!

One thing I do not plan to step away from ~

Forever Memory Images

Though these are the most difficult pieces of photoart that I design, and

have designed since 2007, they hold a special place in my heart.

I have done far more than I have ever wanted to do.

Even though from time to time, I clean my photo files, every pet who has

crossed their Rainbow Bridge for whom I created an image remains here.

It is a privilege to be asked to do this, and I'll continue to do so as long as I am able.  Thank you.
