Vanity, thy name is woman. Also known as the Zoolatry Human. Fearing that yesterdays self portrait post, while somewhat "cute", did present me as "a bit too grey, a bit too plump, and way too old", vanity prompted me to present something closer to reality. Here (albeit a 7-month old photo) with my four most favorite "kitties/kiddies" in the whole wide world. By the way, I don't think I have ever or would ever wear a polka-dotted chartreuse dress either!
Oh I loved yesterday's because I have seen photos of you. :) I know how vibrant and full of life you are - it was fun seeing you depicted as someone ready to let it all hang out while you had a well deserved relax.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen my avatar? That is me dressed for work. I really do wear pashminas daily for several months of the year. Well, I look much more like your fun comic right now - under a laptop, feet up in a recliner, dressing gown and woolly socks - sipping a cup of tea and wondering where the cats are. :)
Oh, Rats! We loved yesterdays self-portrait, even if it was a bit too grey, a bit too plump and wearing a polka-dotted chartreuse dress!
ReplyDeleteSo us cats are not tha only ones wif a bit o' vanity.
ReplyDeleteHee hee.

ReplyDeleteIt was a great picture - worthy of framing and hanging on any wall!
Oh that is so cute. Of course we liked the other one too.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful picture!

ReplyDeleteWell, my mom Ms. C says all art is open to interpretation. For instance, the size of the woman in yesterday's self-portrait was not a literal depiction of yourself, but a demonstration of the space you have for cats to cuddle upon.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Abby Normal
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!! We knew that wasen't your Mom!! We knew it was a doodle :)We cats are smart :) Your Mom is pretty too!
ReplyDeletePurrs Mickey
Oh well...you will not like my new geegaw mirror then. It has a HUGE chartreuse daisy on it, and a few smaller ones.
ReplyDeleteML wants me to ask you where she can buy a chartreuse, polka dot mumu, er, dress.
You should join in on the Christmas in July!
ReplyDeleteSo who's named Vanity? I's a'fused!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a handsome photo of Charlie at the top of your sidebar.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, we hear humans are vain. We cats and dogs now ... well, you should take lessons from us. We have no vanity. We don't need it. We're just naturally beautiful!
I think that there is a lot of wonderful love in that photo and it (and you) are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYesterday's self-portrait was cute! And todays is great. Mom says there is nothing better than cats and grandkids!
ReplyDeleteYFF,
Nice picture! However, I did sort of *like the polka-dotted chartreuse dress! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a sweet picture of your and your favorites.
