CHIPPED: Pique Assiette is a folk art the involves the blending of color, form and texture -- chips of broken crockery, glass, pottery, china, jewelry and gemstones. Above, is "CoCo", an original creation by the Mosaic Lady. Coco nows lives at the Zoolatry home. She catches and reflects the early morning light from the East, and the colors of the sunset each day. Maggy and Zoey enjoy her company and the Zoolatry Human loves the way she changes with the light throughout the day. The Mosaic Lady, and her dearly beloved Annie Geegaw also design whimsical mixed media mosaics - with all the color and artistry of geegaws and chotzkes as seen in the holiday photo frame below. You can enjoy her Pique Assiette designs at her website... Laura Winzeler Designs. Visit, you'll be glad you did... you might even be tempted to order your own mosaic...
Coco is beautiful! Hmmm...maybe I should do some whapping around so I gets chipped crockery to do that mosaic thingey too?
