An open DOOR beckons, saying, "sneak outside, it's a wide and
wonderful world out here..."
A kitchen DRAWER, not closed, calls out, "look, this is the drawer
with your cat treats and cat toys... enjoy..."
The linen CLOSET, left ajar, taunts Maggy, saying, "come in and rest, it is cozy and comfy, and quiet and warm in here... join us..."
The old Hoosier CABINET, left unlatched, says to Zoey, "there are books and
games and treasures inside, play... or nap..."

ReplyDeleteYes my house sure does talk to me, especialy the cupboard were I am not supposed to go. Dad says JASPER !! come out there are electrics in there. That makes me even more determined to look.

Oh yes, ours keeps talking to us too. We like the linen closet (we call it an airing cupboard) the best and we rush to see who can get in first if the door is open.

yes our house speaks to us and so do our toys and blankets and actually anything we feel the need to check out or pounce on. but it is the doors and cabinets we like the best as well cuz they have mysteries in dem!
