If you recall, Tuesday was the "big day" around here ~ also called "Terrible Tuesday". Our day at the salon and spa. Well, friends, here's how it all came down (or came off, as the case may be). Let's start with the bottom photo: that's Maggy. As you can see, she looks about the same as before. Why? Cause the Mags was a bad girl, I mean, really, really B.A.D. Yes, she gots her nails clipped, and yes, the very nice lady groomer was able to get rid of her tummy mats. But the rest, furget it. She whined and hissed and growled and moaned and scratched and clawed! Even with the groomers assistant trying to hold and caress her, Mags wasn't having any part of a spa treatment. Not today...
On the other paw, I was as good as gold. I got "the works", even came home with a little jingle-bell bow on my head! Tummy mats all gone, nails nicely done... a sweet little poodle-like trim all over, my ears got cleaned, and I got a bath! Oh how I loved my bath and the ZH & Poppy say I smell sweeter than peaches 'n' cream! No lump of coal in my Christmas stocking. I expect lots of treats for my good behavior. I want an A+ and a Gold Star.
Maggy, well, she'll get that lump of coal. You know she's usually quiet in her little travel kennel, but she even screamed all the way home in the car! So much for Mag's Salon and Spa Day. I enjoyed mine!
Here's a little pic of Zo about 2-years ago when she had to have a
major, major shavedown. Had to be done by a vet, under anesthesia!
Am so glad we didn't have to go that far this time around...
poor nekked babee!

Pictures! We wanna see the shaved results so we can give sympathy... Or did they get home wif furs intact?
ReplyDeleteZoey we are so glad you enjoyed your spa day. You both look great. We give you an A+ and a gold star Zoey. We give Maggy an F- and a lump of coal. We thinks Scylla and Fenris would act like Maggy. Socks and Artemisia are so laid back that they let the humans do whatever they want to them.
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely after your spa day Zoey and loved your little fur ornament you got to bring home. Well Maggy what can we say except we might have been more naughty than you!!
ReplyDeleteoh dear, maybe Miss Maggy just had a bad day:( We are sure she will still look pretty with just a few tangles. Good job, Zoey - Santa Paws will reward you well.
ReplyDeleteWoos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
MOL! Well, we're glad YOU enjoyed your spa day, Zoey! No comment about Maggy!
ReplyDeleteChumley used to LOVE to be shaved (by the groomer). The mom would take him about 3 times a year to shave off his mats. He wasn't keen on the brushing, but he'd lie on his belly, legs all splayed, while the shaving was being done. The groomer told our mom once that she would have the clinic staff stopping to watch, since most kitties aren't keen on the shaving, we understand.
Zoey, you really do deserve lots of extra treats from Santa for being so good for the groomer. Hollering on the way home? Whoa. We always scream on the way to the v-e-t, but we are quiet on the way home. Maggy really might get that lump of coal.
ReplyDeleteZoey, you look purrfect! A couple of uSSSSS would be just like Maggy, uncooperative!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAh I am glad you had a good spa day--but it makes me happy I am a meeze and don't have to have that done!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you enjoyed your spa day, Zoey! And sorry to hear that Maggy did not. :(
ReplyDeleteOh Zoey you were such a good girl at the spa! We wouldn't have ever put up with that so we are so impressed! And boy you look so cute with your bow in your hair!! And oh Maggy, well you are a girl after our own hearts because we would have been the same way! But even without the full treatment you are still looking very cute, and we are so glad they got your tummy mats out!
ReplyDeleteOh, Zoey, you are simply gorgeous! Maggy? Well, maybe next time.
ReplyDeletePoor Maggy, it must be furry scary. But you are so brave Zoey!
ReplyDeleteZoey, you were a very good girl. I wonder why Maggy was so upset?

You are a good girl Zoey, and you look very pretty with your jingle bow. Maggy had better be on her best behaviour right up to Christmas if she wants a visit from Sandy Claws.
ReplyDeleteVery sorry to hear about your trying ordeal! Caramel (AKA Miss Floofs) is the only long-haired Furry Bambino, and she says "I feel your pain girls!"
