MAGGY MONDAY: THE CATCH
Not so long ago the ZH let me and Zoey go to the beach with her. We went to the Cape Canaveral National Seashore, a pretty place, undisturbed, undeveloped.
Zoey of course, jumped out of the car, and ran toward the ocean before you could say "nip".
When I got to the dunes, I looked to the north, no Zoey. Then I looked to the south, no Zoey.
But when I looked across the ocean, far and wide... there she was. "What are you doing?" I asked.
"I heard the pompano were running today, wouldn't that make for a very nice dinner?" she replied.
To which I said, "Zoey: Not your pole. Not your hook. Not your bait. And therefore,
not your fish. But freshly caught pompano does sound good ... "

That is a new one to us, too, but sounds very tasty!
ReplyDeleteOh it would be tasty I think!
ReplyDeleteWe hope you had a good catch.
ReplyDeleteWe admire Zoey's positive outlook.
ReplyDeleteWe think that would be quite good but we would not want to have to catch fish with a hook and pole. Hugs and nose kisses
