Florida vacation photo ~
During an early morning drive along Black Point Drive through the
Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge we came across this rather large
fellow enjoying his "cat nap" in a "sunpuddle".
Thankful there were no real cats napping in real sun puddles nearby ...
That is one big guy. Glad you two didn't get too close to that one. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteMom and Dad love the Merrit Island Wildlife Refuge. I think we might have a picture of that same guy!!!!!

ReplyDeleteImpressive ! He doesn't look very kitty-friendly ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteWe'd be thankful that thing was over there! When Mumsy lived in south Louisiana, long, long, long, ago...one time one of those things got under her house 8-| (We get buggy eyes over that.) Enjoy your vacation!

ReplyDeleteOne time when we were in Florida several years ago we went to Cape Canaveral and were amazed to see several alligators basking in the sun on the banks of the water channels. I think we may have been near the same area as this?
ReplyDeleteHe was a big boy!
ReplyDeleteTalk about a big guy charging his solar batteries!
ReplyDeleteNever seen one of those around here - thankfully!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
That could almost be Agatha from the Dime Store Novel series. She's the Guardian of the Swamp, an earthbound goddess.
ReplyDeletePepiSmartDog: GOOD LORD! I almost had a heart attack! Great piccies.
ReplyDeleteBTW, your blog is looking really nice in the lime green.
