To BOG ~ or ~ To BAG
That is the question.
When we first looked over the list of pawlympic events we were quite intrigued by Bouncing Bertie's Munro Bagging and had to visit to find out what that was all about! Though we didn't quite "get it" we thought it still sounded like fun, and would certainly be challenging ... so we opted "in".
But then came one little problem ... after leaving Bertie's, we remembered (with our less than always accurate memory) that the event was Munro Bogging. So checking out the handy woofie dictionary, we confirmed that bog was defined as: wet, spongy ground and bogging was defined as: to cause to sink into or become impeded or stuck as if into a bog.
"What have I gotten myself into?" I yelped. Well, with many many heartfelt thanks and paws up to Bertie, and a few emails back-and-forth, things were soon set straight. There was no need at all for me to go digging about in some dank and dark and mushy old bog, or OMD get stuck there! Bertie explained to me all about BAGGING and after some internet research I donned my plaids (and if I chose correctly, that is the Douglas plaid!) and got my walking stick and well ...
