More signs of Spring ~ more birdies arriving!
Here, pretty little Purple Finches ... though misnamed as they are rosy-red in color.
Little tweeters, only about 5" long ... breakfasting at our feeder.
Below: of course I couldn't resist taking one of the photos (top right in the montage) and getting "artsy" with it ...
It's AWWW Monday and when I sit on the deck watching all these guys
(and yes, these very colorful little ones are males) I do go ... "awww" ...
I find myself relieved of stress and slowly moving away from any worries of the world ...

ReplyDeleteWhat great coloring. I've never seen a purple finch before. Ours are pretty bland colored here. Yes they are great Awww's and stress reducers.

Oh wow, aren't they so pretty. When Mom was at the bird show finding Piper, she saw the most gorgeous Bourke!!! Pink at the top working to a deeper rose on the back and ending in beautiful royal blue tail feathers. She almost brought him home too:)

Such pretty coloring! I made sure the birds got lots of food yesterday during the big snow storm. No one was expecting that weather!
