HAPPY TUESDAY ~ 'DA BIRDS

Did you hear that property values are going up in our neighborhood?  New housing here, there, everywhere.  Just the other day a builder was busy under the deck in the backyard.  Great construction, solid, will withstand all those windy days and protected from rain, too!  Then, why it was only a week later ... along came another contractor, building a second home ... only she (yes, it's a new age, we have female builders, folks, get used to it!) chose to build way back in a corner and this "realtor" could not get a good photograph for the sales brochure.  Well, we know a family has moved into the first house already.  And their "mom" is busy there, day in and out ... though we haven't been able to visit with a "welcome new neighbor" gift.  If we venture near, she seems to prefer to fly off to do errands or something, it seems we startle her a bit, maybe she is shy ... as for the second home, it's just hard to see if the family has moved in ... but there has been a little activity and shuffling about.  Anyway, I suspect we'll know soon.  Likely we'll "hear" something.  You know how young kids are, they're always noisy ... especially when they're hungry.  And then when they get ready to leave the nest, so to speak, go out and play ... well, there will be a real ruckus then!  Since we couldn't get a real family photo to share with you today, we've added a "virtual image" so you have an idea of who has moved in ~ sweet, aren't they?

Speakin' of da birds!

Meet KISMET from the blog KYLASCOTT!

SQUAAAAAAAWK!

Kismet is a female Indian Ringneck parrot (pretty cute, mmm) and she wants all pet bloggers

  5. Those bird builders have chosen some very unique spots for their homes here in years past. We haven't had any new development for a couple of years. We might have to hang out the welcome sign.

Maybe we can get Piper to post for Kismet.

  8. We know all about birds as one flew by our big window and Einstein and Toby almost caught him. Dad heard the commotion of paws hitting the window and came just in time to see that bird fly by a few inches away. If only that pesky glass was not there.

  10. We may not have as many new neighbors as a few years ago. TBT had to cut down some existing trees shading the garden and the new prettier ones he planted (that wont get as tall) wont be big enough fer birdies fer a few years. But there are lots of huge neighbor trees around us, so they have places ta nest in for now.
