Birds of a feather ~ do not always flock together.
Sometimes you just put them together with photoshop!
Both originally photographed at the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge,
left, a Roseate Spoonbill and right, a Heron (Great Blue or Little Blue).

Such beautiful tall birdie art!
ReplyDeleteDid we ever tell you Merritt is our man's last name? (Not ours, we use the lady's and she never changed it). When they were in Florida once they saw all the signs for the island and wished they had time to go. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever and pretty picture! Ghostwriter says it reminded her of a place where she's seen herons and spoonbills together, called Flamingo Gardens near Boca Raton Florida. It's a reserve where they keep birds that can't be returned to the wild. She says the spoonbills there will follow you around looking for a hand-out; and their bills feel like they're made of plastic. The herons were less sociable, though.
ReplyDeleteNice artwork. Mon loves that place.
